GUILTY GA - Ahmaud Arbery, 25, jogger, fatally shot by former LEO and son, Brunswick, Feb 2020 *Arrests* #6

TY ;) does the article indicate which party named him as a possible witness? TIA

No, it's not clarified in the article. It just says prosecution and defense attorneys had long lists of names jurors were asked if they knew. The names included various investigators from federal to local levels, local politicians, as well as GM.

I believe he will testify that he never asked for his dear friend Jackie's assistance and further, that she never agreed to give her assistance in covering up the murder of this man. I think he will testify that the 16 cell phone exchanges between he and his former boss had nothing to do with the murder and were simply about mundane things.
He has zero credibility!

White men with guns and pickup trucks chased and fatally shot the running Black man on a neighborhood street after they wrongly suspected he was a thief. The man who started the deadly pursuit had worked for the local district attorney.

Now that prosecutor, former District Attorney Jackie Johnson, has returned to court as a criminal defendant, charged with violating her oath of office, a felony, and a misdemeanor count of hindering police as they investigated Arbery’s killing

After your first sentence I was going to say “Some things never change,” but the prosecution of the murderers is progress, as is the trial of the D.A. But true progress would be not getting killed running while black. I’m afraid I don’t see change in that area happening any time soon.

It's paywalled beyond the first couple of paragraphs.

Thanks.

Coverage from yesterday and today.

Johnson's defense attorneys also asked the judge for a directed verdict on the charge that Johnson violated her oath of office, a felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

Turner told attorneys he was letting the oath violation charge stand "for the moment." He asked both sides to submit written briefs with additional legal arguments.

Can't say I am surprised.
