Found Deceased GA - Alexis Crawford, 21, Clark Atlanta University student, Atlanta, 30 Oct 2019 *arrest*

A motions hearing is scheduled for next Friday, May 20. A Fulton County judge will hear several arguments on pre-trial motions, including one by the defense teams for Jones and Brantley asking for a so-called Jackson-Denno hearing - which would determine if their statements to police after the killing, in which they admitted parts of their involvement, can be used against them or not.

I tried to access each perps page but you have to register now. I did get the judge's calendar to pull up. See page 12.

Re-post, rbbm.
By Hayley Mason Feb. 12, 2020

''Crawford’s family even invited Jones into their home for several holidays.''
''Yet today, so many are questioning what led Jones to turn from a trusted friend to the ultimate foe, accused of killing Crawford, her roommate.''

''People who knew the young ladies tell CBS46 that their personalities were different and that some warning signs may have been overlooked that there was a bed of anger and hatred underneath the smiles.''

“A lot of times what we see as a psychologist is what I call a love-hate relationship,” Dr. Blake said. “They may love the person on the surface. They may care about them on the surface, but there is a lot of resentment. There is a lot of anger. There is a lot of stuff underneath that many people never see, and I think that is what is happening in this case,” she added.''

“For most of us, this is too much for us to comprehend, but for people who have no conscious, they have no sense of guilt,” Blake said. “They have no sense of compassion. When they do an act, it’s just an event for them and they move on. And this is what we are seeing here. No sense of conscious. No sense of remorse.”

“There is no indication of remorse that I can see,” Dr. Blake said. “No indication of any empathy...What it suggests to me is there is a lot of anger. There is a lot of stuff that we may not [have] even considered what’s going on with Jordyn,” she continued.
Were there signs along the way? What clues were overlooked that betrayal and possibly murder was on the horizon?''

''Alexis probably felt she was a close friend of Jordyn’s,” Dr. Sherry said. “She may have even viewed Jordyn as a sister and trusted her. But that doesn’t mean Jordyn felt the same way about Alexis, obviously.”

“I think this case is going to be very painful but I think it is going to be a rude lesson and an eye-opener for young college students, young females everywhere,” Blake said.''

This is outrageous, why on earth should this creep get bond after committing such a particularly odious crime on an innocent young woman, why should her grieving family be subjected to this further torture ?! imo.
From link..rbbm

"In a statement, Crawford's family said the Fulton County District Attorney's Office notified them that Brantley is seeking bond.
"The incessant pain we feel from the cold-blooded murder of Alexis at the hands of Barron Brantley and Jordyn Jones, whom we often welcomed into our home, is constant and nearly unbearable," Tammy Crawford, the student's mother said in a letter. "I was deeply disturbed by the possibility of Barron being released on bond. I am gravely afraid. I am angry. I am also in disbelief yet determined."
She described Brantley's bail as a "slap in the face" to the family and "spit on Alexis' grave." She led a similar crusade, calling for a judge to deny bond during Jones' status hearing in 2020.
Both Jones and Brantley have pleaded not guilty to their six charges, including felony murder, false imprisonment and concealing the death of another.

Investigators say the two strangled and suffocated Crawford with a garbage bag before dumping her body into a trash bin and taking it to a Decatur park.''

No updates for Jones.
