I do not believe Annie Belle Jarrett has had a thread of any kind on WS, so starting one now. A woman's body has been found but I cannot find solid confirmation from the GBI that it is her -- but, sadly, it sounds almost certain, so this may need to be moved soon.

I also cannot find her exact age mentioned anywhere.

Update: Body found in Meriwether County, may be linked to missing woman

...Early Wednesday morning, deputies with the Harris County and the Meriwether County Sheriff's Office responded to Crawford Creek Road in Pine Mountain, Ga. in regard to information received of a possible location of a missing person. They found a body buried in a "makeshift grave" ....Officials believe, but have not confirmed, the body belongs to Annie Belle Jarrett.


Jarrett was reported missing near Shiloh, Georgia on Tuesday by a friend who she normally car-pools with. The friend said Jarrett never showed up for her 5:30a et pickup.

Update: Boyfriend of missing GA woman arrested for gun possession

Agent Wayne Smith confirms to News Leader 9 that Annie Belle Jarrett's boyfriend, Sylvester Sherman, has been arrested for possessing a gun as a convicted felon, and is one of many suspects in the case of the missing woman whose body may have been found yesterday....


...However, authorities have not confirmed the identity at this time.


"It's a tragedy, so close right here at home, my sister," says Jeanette Turner, Annie's sister


Jarrett has been missing for two days before authorities found a body just 20 minutes from her home in Shiloh.


"We got a phone call yesterday saying she was missing and hadn't nobody talk to her nor seen her since Monday night so we all got together and called for some help," says Turner.

GBI: Boyfriend 'one of many' suspects after body recovered in Warm Springs

...GBI Special Agent Wayne Smith described the body as black and female, but officers didn’t examine it further.


“By it being a burial like that, we especially don’t want to disturb it very much because they will methodically go through it in a lab setting,” Smith said. “The black female body is consistent with sex and race of the person that’s missing. We know that much.” ...


...Garrett was in her early 50s.

Dead woman's boyfriend charged in Meriwether County homicide

...Jarrett's body was recovered two weeks from a shallow grave on property in rural Warm Springs .... The property belongs to the family of the boyfriend, it has been previously reported.
