Unidentified Biracial Female

Located on February 4, 2001 in a wooded area near 3418 Maynard Court, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.

Death had probably occurred in early 2000.

State of Remains: Skeletonized. The skull, a few teeth and the right foot bones were all that was recovered. The torso, limbs, and hand not recovered.

Vital Statistics

Estimated age: 45 - 60 years old

Distinguishing Characteristics: She is described as a Biracial female (White and Native or Hispanic), and her height and weight is unknown, though she was probably of small stature.

Clothing: She was wearing dark colored bib overalls, a pair of size 7 women's panties, two ankle-length white socks, and one "Kathy Ireland" brand white athletic shoe size 9.

Dentals: Upper jaw present, dentals available

DNA: mtDNA in FBI NMPDD

Case History

This victim's weathered skull, a few teeth and entire skeletonized right foot were found in a wooded area on Maynard Court, near Charlie Brown airport. The foot was still inside of the shoe, and there was also a bag of crack located inside the sock that was in the shoe.

The skull and foot bones were found in a field near a housing project. The area is frequented by people who leave behind used condoms and empty crack bags and the area has been a "dumping ground" for bodies in the past. It is near one of three Interstate highways through and around Atlanta, and very near an industrial route traveled by hundreds of 18-wheelers each day.

The crack bag may be artifact, without any connection to the body at all.

The fact that there were only small foot bones and the skull found indicates not that the body was dismembered, but that the body had been exposed long enough to allow animal activity to have been a factor. Stray dogs typically roam the projects near there.

That is a great possible match.

I also found this one:

Christina Schutz

She is listed as being white, hispanic and native. She is also a known drug user. Her age is off though.

No additional exclusions.

Of those suggested above, Tamikqra Rogers (MP479) wears a 10.5 boot according to her Namus, whereas the UID's shoe was a size 9.

Christina Schutz (MP855) also bears resemblance but her last known address was Flint, MI so not clear how or why she would have been in GA. She disappeared after an argument with her boyfriend and was never seen again; doesn't seem to indicate she had planned to go very far as she had an infant daughter living with her grandmother.

To me, Yasuko Guillory (MP1731) actually bears some passing resemblance to the reconstruction, particularly the very high hairline (in Yasuko's photo it's hidden by her fringe/bangs). Though it's a long way from Jefferson County LA to Atlanta GA she did have a history of 'disappearing' according to her DoeNetwork file. @astridxx did you ever turn in this possible match?

This is someone where doing DNA could be hugely helpful just by determining her actual racial make-up--I'm reminded of a few cases recently where a longtime Doe turned out to be a completely different race than was initially believed, which significantly affects reconstructions. In this case, if she is actually mixed-race, that may be less helpful, since phenotype can vary considerably. As her remains were completely skeletonized, I wouldn't get too caught up in hairlines and other aspects of the reconstruction that are just guesses. She does appear to have a high/large forehead, a broad nose, and possibly a larger/not pointy chin. I'm not sure if her mandible was recovered, though, so even that last part may be conjecture. I've not had any luck finding local coverage.
