Found Deceased GA - Demetrice Allen, 30, attorney, in town for job interview, Atlanta, 6 Dec 2019

Demetrice Allen, 30, was in Atlanta to interview for a job in the legal department at Delta Air Lines. Allen and at least two other friends -- including a former law school roommate -- were enjoying an evening at TEN ATL lounge on Flat Shoals Avenue in Atlanta. At around 2 a.m., his former roommate noticed Allen had left the club.

Soon after, Allen sent a text to his former law school roommate to let him know that he was heading to the Cookout restaurant on Moreland Avenue before heading home.

Allen’s last known whereabouts were at the TEN ATL Lounge.

Allen was last seen wearing a black jacket, tan shirt, black jeans, and black Jordan sneakers. Allen drives a grey BMW 328i. The vehicle's Ohio license plate reads HMT1084.

The bar he was at is less than half a mile from the Cookout restaurant which is more of a takeout place than a sit down restaurant. It's a straight path NW up Flat Shoals Avenue. There are no parks or bodies of water on the way. I think if he ended up in this area he would have been spotted by now, or at least the vehicle. He said he was heading home. According to this article home is South Fulton. Help police find missing City of South Fulton man That looks to be the Southwest area of Atlanta and probably no more than a 30 or so minute drive from where he was last seen.

Weird that the article in post #1 starts off that he is an "Orlando" attorney. His FB says he lives in Atlanta. His car has Ohio plates? And he was what, staying with a friend maybe in South Fulton, GA?

A police report was filed with the City of South Fulton because that's where Allen was staying while transitioning to Atlanta from Orlando, his best friend said.

11Alive reached out to the City of South Fulton Police Department. Officials said they do not have any updates in this case at this time.

The Atlanta Police Department said that their detectives have been in communication with the City of South Fulton regarding this investigation and will assist them as necessary.

according to the above article, sounds like he is living/staying with his godparents who are named.

Allen has been working in that position for just over a year now. Prior to that, he worked for three years as an employment associate at another law firm in Columbus, Ohio.

However, friends say Allen had already moved to Atlanta at the time of his disappearance. His Facebook, too, says he currently lives in Atlanta.

Allen attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for his undergraduate career. He graduated with a degree in Political Science, then went on to law school at the University of Ohio. He graduated with a law degree in 2015.

According to local news station 11Alive, Allen was in Atlanta for professional reasons at the time of his disappearance: he was interviewing for a position in the legal department at Delta Airlines.

Delta has not confirmed whether Allen’s interview took place prior to his disappearance or not. Allen’s childhood friend, James Handley, told 11 Alive about the interview with Delta.

On the night that Allen was last seen publicly, he was with his former law school roommate, Chris Whitmore, and Whitmore’s girlfriend.

On Wednesday, several days after Allen was last seen, Whitmore told the 11 Alive, ‘We are all on edge and trying to remain positive.’

According to the city of South Fulton police, Allen was last seen at the TEN ATL Lounge, a bar in East Atlanta Village. He texted Whitmore that he was going to Cook Out, a nearby fast food restaurant, and hasn’t been seen since.

Lynn Smith on HLNs “On the Story” just covered his disappearance in her missing segment. His best friend and godmother were on the show. His best friend says it is completely normal for him to go to that cookout to get food after going to the bar. He goes all the time.

They talked about it being an extremely high trafficked area, very busy, lots of bars, etc.

His car had foggy headlights, he was planning to get them fixed, but may be a way to identify his car.

He and the best friend have been best friends since they were 11 years old. Says Demetrice is just a great person who made connections/friendships with many.

The best friend and godmother are just pleading for tips to be called in. Say he is cared about deeply and just want him home.
