According to a news release from the Centerville Police Department they are looking for 38 year old Kimberly McKenzie.

McKenzie's family reported her missing this morning when she did not show up to work at Houston Medical Center.

She was last seen in the Warner Robins/Centerville area yesterday around 7 in the evening.

The release says she was driving a blue 1995 Honda Accord with Georgia tax WX3AGD.

Police Chief Sidney Andrews says that the car was found last night in Macon.

"They recovered her car last night in Macon around 11:00 pm. Macon Police responded to a potential wreck on Key Street, when they arrived it was just an abandoned vehicle."

"My detectives are on their way to Macon now to meet with their detectives," says Andrews.

McKenzie is 5 feet tall and 119 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants, a gray Polo hoodie, and tennis shoes.

The Police Department is seeking out individuals who may have been in contact with McKenzie any time after Tuesday.

Anyone with information should call Detective Sergeant Chuck Hadden at 478-953-4222.

A Macon man has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in carjacking that led to a fatal shooting.

Justin Terrell Grable, 23, was sentenced Monday and agreed to testify against his co-defendant, Alexandria Renee Scott, who was the alleged shooter...

Kimberly McKenzie, 38, was driving near the intersection of Camellia Circle and Ignico Drive in Warner Robins on Jan. 26, 2011, when authorities say Grable and Scott, armed with a handgun, forced their way into her car. Grable drove McKenzie and Scott on Ga. 247 through Houston County into Bibb County, pulling the vehicle into a pecan orchard off Feagin Road... McKenzie was struck by a single shot in her upper right leg. The bullet hit her femoral artery, and she bled to death.

From March 2014:

Scott also pleaded guilty to armed robbery. She received a 10-year sentence in that case.

That means she will be eligible for parole in 40 years.
