Wonder if this was a random break-in and then he stole Ms Major's car with her body in it?? Or if they knew each other somehow? Sounds like they found him by APB looking for her stolen car.

Thoughts and prayers for her family.

A man arrested in Dothan, on a traffic warrant awaits transfer to Blakely, Georgia in the death of 55-year-old Lucy Major, who disappeared Friday.

Police said 24-year-old Thaddeous Taylor led officers to Major's body early yesterday in Alabama woods near the Georgia line.

Taylor was arrested in Dothan for a driving-without-a-license warrant issued last year. He is being held in the Houston County Jail.

Major's body was found about one a-m- Saturday in a ravine located off Houston County road 85 in Gordon, near the Georgia Line, according to Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd.

Byrd said preliminary analysis of the body show that she was beaten and possibly stabbed. She was found wearing a night gown, her body wrapped in a quilt and partially submerged in water.

Thaddeous Lee Taylor, 24, was sentenced to life in prison for the January 2006 murder of Lucy Major. Taylor's life sentence followed a plea of guilty to malice murder and to armed robbery, an offense for which he was also sentenced to 10 years in prison.
