Ugh...hope they speak with the driver soon! They should be able to see the pick up and drop off points on his/her account.

Dacula to Georgia State? That's a long way. Is there another GSU location, other than downtown Atlanta? Dacula is practically in Athens.

Here are some additional news links from that area as well at the Georgia State

    CBS Local/V-103
    (provides some additional photos)
    http://v103.cbslocal.com/2016/04/25/family-searches-for-missing-atlanta-college-student/

    Fox5 Atlanta - http://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/132319853-story
"Someone later spotted the college sophomore near Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta."

"Al-Kush said bank activity showed Priester's debit card was used in Nashville, TN on Monday morning. "We don't know of anyone that she knows in Nashville, TN," he explained. "She has no family in Nashville, TN. So, that draws a concern."

Georgia State Signal - School Student Paper
"Priester, 21, called for an UberPool, a group ride..."
"Priester’s disappearance has been reported to Gwinnett County Police and Uber."

    http://georgiastatesignal.com/georgia-state-student-missing-since-april-22/

UberPOOL - "uberPOOL lets you share your ride—and the cost—with others heading the same way. It’s the cheapest way to Uber and the only option that offers a guaranteed fare before you request, so you always know what you’re going to pay."
    https://www.uber.com/cities/atlanta/

Where are you Monique?!?! UberPOOL means there was more than just the driver with/around her when she was last seen/heard from. Surely Uber is narrowing the field for Gwinnett Co. LE.

    Prayers for her swift return.

"Uber said it would have to be subpoenaed to give up ride records, and police say they have no reason to suspect foul play."

    WSB TV - Updated 630-645pm on 4/25/16:

So...frustrating. I know adults can willingly go missing and not want to be found but...this happens all to often with adults who are later found dead from suicide or foul play. How can we help people in crisis when the companies we do business with won't provide information. Specifically when there may be an adult in potential danger. Gheesh...I understand privacy but if Uber, communications companies, etc. would just provided the police information, they found Monique alive and she said "I don't want to be found. Thanks anyway." then the police would report to her family she was found, is a safe and sound adult, but no more details, end of story. I know that also leads to prosecution issues with obtaining evidence without a search warrant/cause but there has to be a legislative solution for real world application in these situation. What if Monique met a terrible fate and other people are at risk?? What about the right to protect the public at large from a potential threat??

Prayers and well wishes to Monique, her family and friends! This must be anguishing....

    :sigh:

Well, since uber can't divulge personal information without a subpoena, and LE thinks there is no reason to suspect foul play, it seems they're all at a stalemate. Since her credit card has been used in Nashville I wonder if there are clues there that would help.

Hopefully, the bank will review the video (maybe on the premise of potential fraud??) and see who actually used the card. Find enough to give LE enough grounds for suspicion of foul play or any crime (just credit card fraud/theft even) that they could legitimately push for the search warrant.

Or maybe LE and Uber are clever enough to navigate the law and the policies in a way that will allow access some basic information to help make some progress to narrow the search and locate/interview those last with her in the Uber car.

Priester left her stepfather’s home in Dacula around 1:30 p.m. Friday and headed downtown to GSU for a study group.

Hours later, the 21-year-old called an Uber to go back home.

Her last phone call with her mother was around 6:15 p.m. Her mother said Priester told her that she was using the Uber group ride option and was somewhere in the West End waiting for the last person to get on the ride.

Priester’s mother said she sounded normal over the phone Friday, with no hints of strife from a small argument she had with her stepfather on Thursday.

When she didn’t make it, her mother tried tracking her iPhone, but it was off. “I couldn’t track it anymore, no access to GPS or Wi-Fi, and it was still showing the same place, Metropolitan Parkway at 5:46.”

Though she had a fight with her father the night before, her mother says there was no indication that she would just leave. “My son said that there was no indication that she was trying to leave home because she just had her backpack with her laptop in it,” she said.

Uber and Georgia State say they’re cooperating with police in the investigation, though detectives with the Gwinnett County Police Department say they do not suspect foul play.

According to her bank statements, she used ride sharing apps Uber and Lyft the day she disappeared.

Reading about uber gave me an "oh no" ( I'm told I'm behind the times and Uber is safe and nbd by my oldest) but the UberPool option is scary. Now you've got other random strangers in a car with you AND they may get to see where you live if your not last one dropped. Icky to me. I think everything is dangerous but a lone travelling pretty young woman using this service isn't my idea of safety.
