I was worried they were going to call off the search. A couple of articles pointed in the direction that they didn't think they would find him. I can't express how happy I am that he was found. I wish he was found alive. (Goes with out saying) but now we can move on to find out why? Why did she do this? I really want to know.

I was thinking along those lines- without a COD she can BS her way thru this- it makes me ill it really does.

Well she has claimed memory loss throughout.

But she was always their only suspect.
That means they had considerable evidence even before they found him..
It's quite possible they have evidence that she had planned it.
Malice murder.


Sometimes I think that justice works as it should.

They just showed the world in actions, not just words how much.

I'd be gobsmacked if it doesn't lead to a successful conviction.

I really wonder if the bf did see a living, sleeping baby Q at 6 am that morning. If so, it is hard for me to understand how she got so angry with a little baby that morning---angry enough for him to die.

It kind of makes more sense to me that something could have happened the night before, when she may have been drunk and high on something, and tired and volatile.

I wonder who sent that text to the babysitter at sunrise that morning. If it wasn't really the bf that sent that, it makes more sense.

Babies are fragile. A punch or a kick or a shove that might not even bruise an adult could kill a baby.

She might not have been that angry, just annoyed enough to lash out and catch him just the wrong way.

It's still homicide if this is the case, because anyone with any degree of common sense knows that throwing a baby against a wall or shaking them violently or punching them in the head could seriously injure or kill them. How many public campaigns have there been about shaken baby syndrome? How many about childhood drowning? How many about the dangers of childhood poisoning? If any of those things happened and she says, "I put him to bed and thought he'd be fine," then she's a fudging liar. PSA messages about how fragile babies are are everywhere, saturating society. They all talk about the importance of immediate medical attention. And she's not a new mum, she's got an older and a younger child. Yes, she's young and immature, but plenty of young, immature mums learn how to take care of their babies without killing them and putting them in the garbage. Plenty of mums with unstable backgrounds and drug addiction, too. But regardless of what the defense tries to spin if this goes to trial, circumstances do not equal justification. There is no justification for murdering a child. Ever.

I think people have to understand that this kind of thing is generational within families. BJH was raising the grandkids the same way she raised her own kids. Drug abuse and neglect is normal. Things that would have sent the rest of us screaming for the hills was normalized in that family. It was NORMAL for them, business as usual. That is how generational abuse and neglect happens. It is normalized in the family structure and history. As it seems to have been here. The kids end up in and out of foster care, in and out of the juvenile system and ultimately in and out of the criminal justice system. This is all normal to them. Just like their parents and grandparents. It's the way life goes. My opinion only.

Public festive drinking to the extent of $300, iirc. The same night that FBI personnel, requiring respirators and haz-matt suits start raking a GARBAGE DUMP for her baby's little body. She and her drinking group which include her own doting mother evidently didn't see anything "off" in such a heartless, lowclass display. Happy, smiling, flirting with the wait staff, per news reports. These people make me sick. IMO!!!

So many people failed him in his short life.

There is one person that caused his fate to be death, but there are others that enabled it.

IMO, others that are just as morally culpable in ignoring his abuse.

Quinton's abuse did not just start on the day he died.

May justice be served.

Now they can bring justice home to his (alleged) murderer.

Having spent today caring for a beautiful little 15 month old child .... and then to arrive home and see that this beautiful 20 month old child has been found in a landfill.

No kindergym for him, no getting covered in pasta sauce while enjoying lunch, no bath time bubbles and story time. Instead, 6 weeks of laying in a rubbish dump. At the hands of the one who is supposed to love and care for him the most.

Incomprehensible.

Like others, I had almost given up hope that little Quinton would be found. So very happy to see that LE has recovered his remains and he will be able to have a memorial service and proper burial. How I wish he could've been found alive, but being found is, to me, a Thanksgiving gift.

Gramma picked her up and took her out to eat first. I'm sorry (No, not really) but she has been an enabler her whole life....... and the way she has acted since this happened. NO SYMPATHY for BJ. NONE. She needs to be in jail too. I would bet just about anything she knew from the beginning what happened. She's behind keeping L's mouth shut and in rehab or whatever.

I also think poor baby was probably hurt when BF saw him in playpen, maybe he just thought he was sleeping.

Thankful and grateful that Quinton was found. He deserves so much more than to be left in the trash.

Also, thankful and grateful that LS is in custody and will hopefully pay for what she did to that angel baby.

BJ may not have to pay for how she failed Quinton, but she will not have peace in her life.

Even if LS has a diagnosis of FASD, and even if it is used by her defense at trial, it is a circumstance, not a justification.

There are people all over the world with FASD and other developmental disorders who manage to successfully avoid murdering their children.

As far as I know, none of us are doctors or psychologists or specialists in this area. And if we are, none of us are directly caring for LS.

Like the discussion of dissociative disorders that went on way back in the threads, this line of speculation carries the risk of shutting this thread down. Unless we hear otherwise from official sources, let's not go there.

I am not a mod, or telling anyone what to post, I just don't want this to be locked down when we finally have some movement on this case.

Call came in, Leilani! Stressful weeks huh, as they slowmo relentlessly inched toward what/who you hid.

Imo, Leilani telegraphed her guilt in many ways in that porch interview weeks ago. Of course, when she said when they find any evidence (of what I’ve done) i’ll turn myself in.

But also when she said that she is getting angry because she wakes up every morning expecting a phone call that hasn’t come day after day. She was trying to make it sound like she was talking about a phone call about the unknown fate of her precious baby. But actually, she was leaking the truth about her intense dread waiting for the phone call from the landfill.

And of course, she tried to end that interview with some nonsense about hoping Quinton is at some benevolent kidnappers house, being fed and taken care of happily.

Call came in Lelani! Including fitting charge of lying, which is how you’ve operated for years, whether reporting a fake crime, falsely accusing those around you, etc etc. Finally, someone decided they would go to any length, spend any amount of money, never stop until they could show beyond a doubt the extent of your lying. Unfortunately, a sweet little boy, other children, family, neighbors, men who tried to love you, lay as wreckage all along your only-22-years-old path.

I didn't mean to imply you did, I just saw how we all got spanked for going down the dissociative disorders rabbit-hole. Myself included. I didn't want another mess like that. Please don't feel badly about making an observation. A lot of what we do here is speculation, and it's hard to work out sometimes what's going to draw censure from the mods. I am very new and I am still learning how to interact on these forums. I'm sure I'll get in trouble again soon, but I am doing my best, as I think most of us are, to have a civilised conversation about something that's developing all the time, as new facts are uncovered. And if FASD becomes something that's cleared to talk about because it's reported by MSM as relevant to the case, I will happily discuss it with everyone here.
