20-month-old Quinton Simon has been missing from his home in the 500 block of Buckhalter since 6 a.m. this morning. Reported missing at 9 a.m. Wearing a light blue Sesame Street shirt and black pants. Call 9-1-1 with info. More details will be released as we get them.

“This is a fluid situation. All things are still possible. We don’t have one concrete theory…all things are possible.” Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley.

Chief just met with the media. Here is the latest information:
CCPD dispatched at 9:42 am this morning to Quinton Simons’ residence, where his mother reported him missing.
An Amber Alert was not issued because there is nothing to indicate at this time that the child was abducted—and, evidence of an abduction is necessary for an Amber Alert.

This does not appear to be a custody dispute, and all parties are cooperating with investigators.
We have responded to two calls for service at this home in the last two years. Neither were for a report of a missing child.

The search remains very active with K-9 units from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, mounted patrol units from The Savannah Police Department, dozens of police officers from numerous agencies—including the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office—currently conducting grid searches of the area. We’ve used our drone and Chatham County’s helicopter for air searches. CEMA is assisting with coordination and operational needs.

We are focused on finding Quinton.

We’re shutting down Garrard Avenue between Chatham Parkway and Louis B Mills as we continue our search for Quinton Simon. Buckhalter Rd is closed between the overpass and Garrard.

We are continuing to actively search the area for Quinton. We are on foot, using a drone, and have the assistance of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. We’ll continue to keep you posted.

I tried to listen to highlights this evening, but kept landing on recordings of Leilani being questioned. Good goah she’s a hot mess, unbearable to listen too. She was clearly lying throughout, trying to give explanations based on what she thought they knew.

I had a thought today about her own childhood and how she was raised. Not excusing Leilani, but from what I’ve seen and learned about BJH, I think alot of what we see in her is neglect from her own childhood. Was Leilani’s Dad ever in the picture?

Ouch, sorry for your ears! lol There were about 2 + hours of those interviews yesterday which is why you probably caught most of that in the highlights too :/ It was a rough listen for sure. And I don't recall much info regarding L's father but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that he probably wasn't around much and her life was as disastrously unstable and messy as the inside of that house looked! moo

I've been following along just not posting much. The physical sight and sound of LS makes me sick and the thought of how little Quinton ended up is unbearable.

I just hope they lock this child killer away for life, she gets no passes from me. I've known many people that have come from violent and/or abusive homes that turned out to be loving and nurturing parents themselves.

I think LS does exactly what LS wants, when she wants, regardless of who it hurts. A person with a very ugly soul IMO.

In my opinion, because she has no decency, no conscience, and a very dark soul, if any at all. (moo)

Not to armchair psychologize, but I think it's because she can't handle the reality of facing consequences for her actions. In her mind, she is still a victim of her circumstances, not the perpetrator of violence she actually is.
JMO, I only recently started following this case and could be way off base.

Chronic idintdoit. Blames everyone else, including children, including that innocent baby, of causing her reactions while simultaneously denying the actions.

Prosecution is arguing because the messages are from 26Sep to 4Oct it's directly relevant to her state of mind and relationship with DY. Sounds like the other man might be the drug dealer.

How does one have a hundred children, a boyfriend AND have time for an affair? I know, it happens. Plenty of evidence age wasn't successful at it, clearly. Priority given to drugs and men.

She should NEVER have been allowed unsupervised access to children.
