@Mandalas

Investigators with the Gilgo Beach Homicide Investigation Task Force added the profile of Judith Ramona Veloz, a Bronx teen who vanished from Manhattan in 1993, to a national missing persons databaselast October.

The move is noteworthy because it came seven months after the task force had identified architect Rex Heuermann as a prime person of interest in the Gilgo Beach serial killer case. He was arrested on July 13 near his Midtown office and charged with murder in the deaths of three young women who were sex workers. Their bodies, wrapped in burlap, were discovered in the brush off Ocean Parkway in December 2010.

1993, would this be the new, earliest disappearance potentially linked to LISK? Do we know how long they estimated Fire Island Jane Doe's legs had been there before they were found in 1996?

There IS a Springfield in every state! The only town name that IS in every state.

Even in "Simpsons" land.
I think RH's Springfield, is the gun.
There are also serial killers associated with various Springfields:
the top one could be Springfieldman9 as he killed 9 women the others I've found - 3.

I was trying to check, but I have a problem, is Fire Island Doe's NamUs down for anyone else? I thought that took a while after ID.

The GreenRiver Killer (Gary Ridgeway) ended up being this mousey nerdy weak little man. He took advantage of vulnerable SWs. RH looks angry, intimidating, and HUGE. I would not want to be alone with him.
RH looks more the type to me.
The other suspect you had in mind might be up to his own crimes that'll end up in the news later. Isn't there the possibility of TWO SK's?
Absolutely there could be the possibility of more than one serial killer, just found it odd that my POI had so much in common with this case, attended the same methadone program as Amber, hung out with her, got high with her, possibly had sex with her, had a lingerie fetish among others, military and LE knowledge, lifelong Long Islander, knows top officials on the Island. And an ex wife with the same name as one of the victims who seemed to have their family tortured most. But, DNA is pointing at RH as I see it. Maybe I see a lot of coincidence where there is none.

Speculating . If todays announcement of another RH victim indicates one of these women, then can it reasonably speculated that the other is a victim of RH too? Remains of both on Gilgo Beach.

“A woman, long nicknamed “Jane Doe No. 7” by investigators, whose partial remains were first discovered in 1996 on Fire Island. More of her bones were later found near Gilgo Beach in 2011.
Police have been trying to figure out her identity for 26 years.

Other unidentified remains belong to a woman nicknamed “Peaches” by investigators after a tattoo on her body. Some of her remains were discovered stuffed inside a plastic tub in Hempstead Lake State Park in 1997, others turned up near Gilgo Beach in 2011, along with the remains of an unidentified toddler believed to be her daughter. “

Thank you for sharing his. Noteworthy. Roll on 10:30.

"....this case is by no means open and shut. There will be more prosecutions to follow, and more questions to answer. One of the big ones: Are there more victims? Among the list of other potential LISK victims are Tina Foglia, whose dismembered remains were found in Gilgo Beach in 1986; Judith Ramona Veloz, who went missing from New York City in 1993; and Natasha Jugo, whose car was found abandoned in Gilgo Beach in 2013."

The Long Island serial killer case may finally be solved — but many questions remain
A surprise arrest after a 13-year investigation shocked the true crime community — and relieved New Yorkers.

Sounds like you did your homework!!!

I'm okay with defense attorneys doing their job.

Me too. I understand that they have to defend their client even if they know where the bodies are buried. It’s their job and it’s the only way to guarantee fair representation. Even if it irks me how they do it sometimes I know that if I was wrongly accused they would be exactly who I’d want representing me.

I thought Natasha Jugo died by suicide? Or was it never fully determined?

I also think we will find that Carmen (Velez?) the woman from East Harlem found on Meadowbrook Pkwy will not be a victim of RH. I do not think he had any business uptown in 1989 nor do I think he would have the desire to go into that territory. 106 & Lexington in those days was very different than today and from his alleged victims and internet searches he picks white women or Asians. JMO.

I found Fire Island Doe's NamUs, the PMI was 'months' and there are descriptions of surgical scarring, which tells me the legs were still fleshed and not so decomposed that the scarring wasn't visible. I think she's too far from Judith to be her, timewise.

Judith's NamUs also describes a large tattoo on her right thigh, and doesn't mention surgical scars.

The man charged with three of the notorious "Gilgo four" murders on New York's Long Island 13 years ago is facing a "massive amount'' of evidence in the case, prosecutors said Tuesday as he appeared in court for a pretrial conference hearing before a Suffolk County judge. Rex Heuermann, 59, was arrested last month and charged in the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, and Amber Costello, 27. The bodies of the women, who authorities say were sex workers, were found wrapped in burlap on Ocean Parkway in Gilgo Beach. Heuermann is also a prime suspect in the death of a fourth woman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, but has not been charged in that case. Police found at least 10 sets of human remains during their investigation.''
