To get a free ticket, runaways are asked to call the NRS helpline and let them know they are ready to be reunited with their family.

There must be a runaway report already filed for the child to be eligible for the
ticket.

You can reach the NRS helpline at 1-800-786-2929.

I love this. Read it before in prior years. Does anyone do a follow-up story?
