Investigators believe William Sublett, 57, was beaten to death.
His wife and several friends said the father of 11 was the most dedicated family man you could meet.
His friends also said Sublett was an active member at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. They added he was actually a part of a medical mission trip to Africa earlier this year.
This is horrible. I live just outside of BR and know of the Healing Place Church.
Seems like he was a wonderful man.
I hope this is solved soon and his family gets some answers.
I'm baffled because Hawaii is normally a safe place and he was a decent man. I

Gotta wonder if it had to do with the shelter he was staying at?
The article doesn't make it clear if that is where he was working or not, but he was living at the shelter. Living in Hawaii for eight months.
