Sweet Lillian Skinner was the subject of a mean prank, when some girls at her North Texas high school falsely told her she'd been nominated for homecoming queen.

They didn't count on the kindness of the real nominees though, who have been friends with Lillian for years. Anahi Alvarez and Naomi Martinez vowed whichever of them won the crown, they'd give it to Lillian. They got Principal of Grand Prairie High, Lorimer Arendse involved too. Last Friday, Anahi was named queen and Lillian was asked to 'help' take photographs.

In front of thousands of people at the ceremony, at the Gopher-Warrior Bowl, Anahi gave her crown to the unsuspecting Lillian.

' "In all my time in school, this is probably the greatest moment I've ever experienced as a principal," said Arendse.'

In the video at the link, you can see how delighted Lillian is to be homecoming queen. The two girls who supported her say she is 'sweet and amazing'. That pretty much describes the kind pair themselves, too.
