It appears that the main defense strategy will be GEORGE DID IT. And Kronk helped at the end. And Cindy left the ladder up...

They are even going to imply that George is framing Casey because he was abusing Caylee and did not want to be exposed, imo.

So does the state have any solid evidence that can prove his innocence and her guilt?

    Their 'evidence' :

George had control of the duct tape.

He had keys to the Pontiac.

He had access to all of the burial items.

He knew about the burial site.

    He attempted suicide.

He did not call LE when he left the tow yard.

He had no response when he first 'learned' about Caylee being missing.

He went secretly to LE and gave incriminating evidence about Casey.

Casey has all the symptoms of abuse survivor.

I think the State has shown that it was not an accidental pool drowning and will continue to with their cross of the defense witnesses.

there's nothing to back up the abuse claims outside of ICA who is a proven liar.

I do not think they have proven it was in her possession totally. I think the DT will have some startling evidence which may make the jury wonder.

But even without the abuse claims, there may be some damning evidence which makes George seem possibly guilty of disposing of the body.

George lied and cheated on his wife.

George lied about having a job for awhile.

George had a bad gambling addiction and liked to look at escort sites.

George had a very volatile temper.

True, but I am beginning to think they are going to go more with George being a pedophile who accidentally killed Caylee. imoo

    :cow::cow::cow:

There is one thing, and one thing George should have done a long time ago ...

And that is to GET OFF the "ICA and CA Bandwagon" !

UNTIL George "gets away" from both ICA and CA completely, I just don't see anyone believing anything he says or does.

It is My Opinion that George did NOT sexual abuse ICA and George had NOTHING to do with Caylee's death !

That "BUS" has been headed for George for quite some time now ...

And I believe in order to PROVE IT to those who are still undecided ... GET OFF THE ICA Bandwagon !!!

I've considered that too. ANd chloroform plays nicely into that theory, doesn't it?

George covering up this murder simply defies logic. WHY on earth would he do that? He had nothing to gain! IF he had been involved at all, he would have called 911 and given Caylee a respectful funeral. Why would he have thrown Caylee in the woods? Cindy would have murdered him when she found out and he knew it. If there is one true-ism in this whole case, it was that George didn't want to get Cindy all stirred up and going off on him. He could have GUARANTEED that if he had discarded her beloved granddaughter as trash he would have been chewed up and spit out right beside her. NO WAY would George have been involved in a cover-up - not for Casey, not for anybody.

That didn't work in the Jon Benet Ramsey case. Just saying.

How does the defense get from ICA "thinking dad may have messed with her", in a letter and considering what a liar she is to an actual accusation of abuse? This just does not seem right to me.

They don't have to prove anything about George, but the evidence can speak and point to Casey. There is something hinky about the duct tape though. They need to make clear when the garage was first searched and what happened to the silver duct tape after being used at the command center. The duct tape should have always been in the garage. No man would keep that locked up in a lawn or pool storage shed. It should have been out in the garage with all the other things used in the crime, and there could have been more than one roll.

The prosecution doesn't have to prove that George didn't do it. They focus completely on linking Casey, step-by-step, to the murder.

The defense, of course, does not have to prove George did it, either--they just have to show that it COULD have been him instead of Casey.

If George didn't do it, it would be damn hard to prove he did. And that means there will be points where only Casey could have done this or that. Putting that together, with the points the defense tries to connect to George, is how they decide if there's a reasonable doubt that George did, instead of Casey.

I don't think they're going to get to the point where they think it might be George, given the preponderance of evidence against Casey, point by point.

I personally don't see any one thing that convinces me that Casey did it, beyond a reasonable doubt. But the preponderance of evidence tells me she did. I do not feel there's a reasonable doubt when you look at it that way. Hope the jury feels the same.

    Great question!!

Their evidence is no evidence. They have nothing or no one, save one to back up these allegations. Personally, I think ICA will testify and I will relish the moment.

Anything George had access to; ie car, tape, laundry bag, garbage bag, Casey did as well. And so did Cindy for that matter.

The defense would have me believe that George feared Casey more than he loves Caylee. What would ICA be holding over his head? Who was she gonna tell? Cindy? didn't she tell someone that she did tell Cindy about Lee trying to sex her up and Cindy didn't believe her?

Casey feared George? Didn't she ridicule him by giving him a book about Finding Jobs for Dummies? And she did this while pretending she had a job, so she was better than him? Is this behavior for one who was supposedly abused or is this the behavior of a spoiled little nitwit who knew no boundaries, respect and no responsibilities?

I can't wait for the state to try and throw George under the bus. There seems to be something very important they forgot and I'm not gonna tell them. :floorlaugh:

Casey did not live in a make believe world. She manipulated real people to get her way and get over on these real people. She took the life of her daughter the night of June 15th. That's quite a ride back from Mt. Dora with Cindy asking questions. My guess is she found out about mommy wearing the flag and all kind of stuff hit the fan when Casey showed up later. MOO

It is classic he said/she said- who is the bigger liar???
For the entire list posted for access to items- ICA also had unsupervised access to all of those things as well- duct tape, car, evidence found with the remains...
It will come down to who the jury believes more and there has been a lot of evidence of what a liar ICA is.
Top that all off with each of their behaviors (BOTH very well documented) through the jail house videos, witness testimony of what type of grandfather he is, his searching for Caylee, his contacting John Walsh, his trying to get interviews with ICA and the FBI- not to mention his saying he would do anything for his daughter..
it comes down to this: if the original reason he covered up the crime was to protect ICA from getting arrested for child neglect, would he really sit by and not do anything when she was charged with murder, told the SA would seek the DP AND sat in jail for 3 years? It just defies common sense.
And I haven't even gotten into his knowing of CPR, his knowledge of evidence from being a cop (a cop would not let a dead body sit in a trunk for that long OR use materials from their house OR dump their precious grandchild's body a block and a half from their home. He would have put her body where it would have been never found- including RK.
as far as the duct tape goes, would a cop really use the SAMe duct tape that he used to stage his granddaughter's body ON NATIONAL TELEVISION and in front of a whole bunch of people searching for her?
It think there is PLENTY of evidence that it is not GA. JMOO :)

They don't have to. They've already proved Casey did it.

Exactly. A cop wouldn't have even tried to cover up a tragic accident.
