Just spoke to PIO for Madison County Sheriff’s Office. He confirms transporting inmate in a van from the main jail to women’s detention center is rare. Decision is up to shift supervisor. Lori is seen wearing ballistic vest for protection. #fox10phoenix

Also, I’m told Lori Vallow is being kept in a smaller pod (smaller population). Meanwhile, Chandler Police PIO says he has not been informed if detectives will head to Rexburg to talk to Vallow about her former husband Charles’ death. #fox10phoenix

NBC is the pool camera. Justin is with Fox10 Phoenix. Justin just did a live video outside the court house in which he said we should check other affiliates for the live feed. He will be in the press box but no other video nor photos are allowed during the hearing. Justin will be updating us on what happened afterwards outside the courthouse (to follow the rules). The way I understood it is Fox will get the video from NBC afterwards. MOO.

Interesting that they have her wearing a ballistics vest and are not putting her in the with the general population. Is this standard protocol for media intense cases in Idaho or is she breaking new ground on this? I want her to stay alive and crack under the pressure of being apart from Chad. I hope he gives up some details that they can use on her or they find something to go off of at Yellowstone. She needs to stay put in jail.

Security is heightened today at the courthouse for the initial appearance of Lori Vallow Daybell in Rexburg. I’ve never had my wallet searched before when walking into court. #FindJJandTylee #MissingKids #Vallow #Daybell

Good observation. Maybe he purchased the truck with gambling winnings hence the license plate. MOO

Their wallets? I'm not a reporter, but have never had that happen.

Why does this feel like more than the usual threat vs protection? Could it be that others are afraid she could turn on them?

I don't think anyone believes she could harm anyone. With the vest last night and this tight security today, I think they're more concerned with someone harming her.

Lori Vallow’s legal team arrives at court in Rexburg, Idaho four hours ahead of her hearing. It’s a safe assumption that they are meeting with her to discuss strategy and the possibility of her getting out of jail. Our coverage starts on 3TV at 4pm, CBS 5 at 5. #azfamily
