KRISTIN NOEL DAVID — FBI

preview

''Kristin Noel David, a 22-year-old senior at the University of Idaho, was last seen alive on Friday, June 26, 1981, while bicycling from Moscow, Idaho southward on U.S. Highway 95 towards Lewiston, Idaho. On July 4, 1981, David's dismembered remains began to be discovered in and along the Snake River six miles west of Clarkston, Washington, in an area just west of Silcott Island. Some, but not all, of the remains were recovered elsewhere along the river the next day. The remains had been concealed inside black plastic bags and some of the body parts were wrapped in pages from various April 1981 editions of the local newspaper. David’s blue 10-speed bicycle, clothing, and other personal items were never recovered.

Early in the investigation, multiple individuals traveling Highway 95 on the day of David’s disappearance reported seeing a female cyclist matching David’s description being approached by a man driving a brown van on the west, or southbound, side of the highway just outside Genesee, Idaho. Additional reports suggest the same man also spoke with or approached different female cyclists or pedestrians along Highway 95 the same day.

''Witnesses say the man in the brown van last seen talking to Kristin appeared to be about 30-years-old. They say he was roughly 5'10, 180 pounds with a brown or red-ish beard. The van appeared to be 'well-kept' with yellow license plates with dark lettering.

The FBI did address reports that Kristin's homicide may be tied to other unsolved crimes in the community.

"I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge that Kristin's case has long be associated with several other high profile murdered and missing person's cases in this area, during this same time frame," Schoffstall said. "We are not ruling out the possibility that Kristin's murder is related, but we are investigating Kristin's separately. This is all I will say about the other cases today."

Kristin's clothing and blue bicycle were never recovered.

If you can help in any way, please call 800-CALL-FBI or visit tips.fbi.gov.''

This sounds like serial killer behavior. I highly doubt the perp never killed again. I wonder if any of the bags were tested for DNA.

''June 26 - July 4, 1981: Kristin Noel David

Authorities believe White’s disappearance may be connected to the murder case in that of Kristin Noel David. According to the FBI, David was a 22-year-old senior at the University of Idaho who went missing on Friday, June 26, 1981. The report says she was bike riding from Moscow Idaho, heading south on the highway towards Lewiston, Idaho when passing drivers reported seeing a man in a brown van approaching different female cyclists that day. Her remains were discovered eight days later in and around the Snake River near Clarkston, Washington on July 4, 1981.''

The first disappearance happened on April 28, 1979 when 12-year-old Christine White vanished in Asotin, Wash. after going to the county fair and later to her friend's house. On the same day Pearsall disappeared, stepsisters Jacqueline "Brandy" Miller, 18, and Kristina Nelson, 21, vanished after leaving Nelson's apartment to walk to a grocery store nearby the Lewiston Civic Theatre, where both young women had worked as janitors. Nelson, an aspiring artist, left a note for her boyfriend letting him know they would be home soon. On March 19, 1984, the remains of both Miller and Nelson were discovered down a hillside off Highway 3, about 40 miles outside of Lewiston. The coroner ruled their deaths homicides.

There is a well-known high profile suspect in those Clarkston-Lewiston cases... does the above description match that suspect? can the brown Van be connected to him?
