Looking forward to her story and Compher's arrest being featured on Cold Justice. http://www.idahostatejournal.com/me...cle_9808113a-3d19-11e4-9f84-93c5fc69ddc6.html
Watching the episode on DVR now!
Justice has begun.
And he was worried about missing work? Really? I'd think he had bigger worries than that.
Hoping for justice for Nori. Been too long a wait already, IMO.
This is a particularly interesting case for me. Pocatello is my home town although I haven't lived there for over a decade now. I hadn't heard about this case until my sister called my attention to it when she visited me and we watched the cold case show together.
General thoughts: it's always amusing to watch those shows and see how they show a photo of one part of town while discussing another area--something only locals might notice.
My friend and a family member have some random odd connections to this case so I'm rather interested to see how it all plays out.
As for him worrying about work, I chalked that up to shock and nerves. It had been a while since the murder so he was likely taken by surprise.
Would love to hear about the connections whenever or if ever you feel comfortable enough to share.
To be slightly less vague, one of my family members used to be romantically involved with a family member of one of the original suspects mentioned in the cold case show who was convicted of another murder which happened after Nori Jones.
Additionally, I have a family member who used to have a professional relationship with the current suspect.
I have no insider information whatsoever regarding this case. Pocatello is generally boring, IMO, and kind of a random place to see a WS thread about, so I searched for it as soon as my sister and I watched the cold case show together. It's always a trip to see a street you've driven down on national tv....if you're from Pocatello, that is LOL
Defense is bringing names of other possible suspects into the mix.
It is official.......Judge decided there is sufficient evidence to take Brad Scott Compher to trial.
Catching up on watching Cold Justice show & looked around to find status of this case.
Looks like trial was postponed from April 18 & rescheduled for October 4, 2016 (from most recent court activity I could find.)
Incidentally, the article ends with statement ..."Compher remains incarcerated at the Bannock County jail where he is being held without bond.," yet his name does not appear on the current jail roster. http://18.104.22.168/jailreport/jailroster.xml
I did run across a news article about the jail being at capacity... perhaps he was transferred elsewhere. No matter, just found that a little curious.
"Public Defender Dave Martinez represents Compher in the murder case. He filed a motion asking the court to postpone the Jan. 30, 2017, trial date because the public defenders office has a second murder trial set for that month."
Flourish- would you be willing to discuss your connections to Brad with me? I'm working with a legal team on his case.
From last month:
Brad Scott Compher back in court for case status
I just want to clarify. I have no exciting connection to this case. Pocatello is one of those towns where there's a lot of six degrees of separation kinda thing. I'm sorry if I gave any other impression. It's like "my cousin's hairdresser's niece's ex's grandma's neighbor" kinda thing.
Is Brad Scott Compher competent to stand trial?
