ID ID - Stephanie Eldredge, 21, Idaho Falls, 20 Aug 2007

Just bumping for Stephanie as the date of her vigil nears. This Thursday, August 20 at 6pm in Idaho Falls. That date is also 2 years since she disappeared.

Here is a news report from last night's vigil. The reporter mentions a guest speaker from "For The Missing"...that's me! :) Haha. Anyway, here's the video. I will post some photos that I took later. Stephanie's family is amazing, as is Amber Hoopes' family. I talked to Stephanie's aunt Deb (the one in the video) about Websleuths. She's not sure about joining, but I'll talk to her some more about it.

Thanks for the video coverage I4G. Very cool that you were the guest speaker.

I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Speaking of pictures, the one we have on this thread for Stephanie isn't the most flattering that I've seen of her. She is a beautiful woman. I wonder where I can find the one that was on a missing flyer of her. I'd like to see it posted here.

Prayers that Stephanie comes home soon, it's been too long now.

Kat, I asked Stephanie's aunt to send me the photo used on last nights flyers. Will post it as soon as I get it. You're right. She is beautiful.

I made a Photobucket album with some photos from last night. I think I made it so it's not locked. Let me know if it doesn't work. There were probably about 25-30 people there, but unfortunately not captured by the photos. Not very many pictures, but a few to share. :)

Two Years Since Stephanie Eldridge Disappeared

Thursday will mark the two year anniversary of the disappearance of Stephanie Eldridge.

The 21-year-old went missing from her Idaho Falls home in 2007 and has not been heard from or seen since.

Family members of Stephanie want to find closure not only for their family but for all families with a loved one who is missing and they are asking local communities for help.

Deborah Rowbery - Stephanie's aunt: "Lets see more people out there give a hoot. Lets see more people go out there and form a search party and not turn their back and fold the newspapers up. And keep there picture out there. And keep it going."

[snip]

Captain Brown says the more time that passes, it's more probable that Stephanie is not alive.

Prayers to Stephanie, her 3 beautiful daughters, and the rest of her family.

ETA: This just jumped to the next page, so be sure not to miss the vigil photos on the previous page! :)

I finally got the photo. Sorry it is so grainy. I had to scan it in off of the flyer. But it is a beautiful photo of Stephanie, so I wanted to post it anyway.

Skeletal remains found above the City of Ammon yesterday had detectives from two agencies working together with the hope of shedding light on who they found.

detectives are also curious to why the body wasn't found sooner - found in plain sight just a few yards from a busy recreational access road

The remains were found here - in the middle of nowhere - but along side a fairly busy recreational access road just off Sunnyside above Ammon and Idaho Falls

Grimes said enough “suspicious” evidence had been located at the scene to initiate an investigation into the possibility of foul play. He said the remains were in plain view when discovered Friday, but had no comment when asked whether or not they had ever been buried.

Stephanie Eldredge, an Idaho Falls mother of three, hasn’t been seen since August 2007.

From the link above...

"almost" totally decomposed. I'm leaning towards this being Stephanie over Amber. Amber has been missing since 2001. Surely 9 years would be full decomposition.

No final results expected for 2 weeks - 2 months. Damn. My thoughts are with the families of anyone this could possibly be.

Who connected to Stephanie, worked at the wind turbine site?

There's a lot easier places to dump a body in Idaho Falls, than driving 12 miles out of town and then down a dirt road. For instance, bodies dumped in the Snake River (ie, Acacia Bishop) are seldom found due to the issue of the hydro plant.

Besides just being released from jail on the alcohol violation, does anyone know the background of her AKAs?

Thanks for the link. If they think it is a missing person from 3 years ago, IMO it would not be badly decomposed, it would be a skeleton for crying out loud...

IMO If Susan was found about now her body would be badly decomposing, her body would have been frozen for months and would have recently started decomp from spring... I am sorry to be so graphic. Moo of course

ETA: This article states skeletal remains, so perhaps it isn't Susan, they shouldn't write badly decomposed if it is a skeleton, that kinda stuff just drives me nuts
