GUILTY IL - Bonnie Woodward, 46, murdered, Alton, 25 June 2010

6 weeks gone now. Hope the fundraiser was successful, since she leaves behind a disabled son.

I am in Gillespie and I see Fliers all over for her. I went to Staunton and saw them there too. So the investigation is still on going. I agree Alton is not a great place to live/raise children. I would not want to. But I prefer smaller areas. I am 45 min from Alton.

Fleeing the state seems a bit rash for the charges they were facing. What are they really running from?

esp since it was a teacher? I couldn't imagine giving up a career that easy. :waitasec:

Family Hopes Body Found In River Is Not Missing Loved One

EAST ALTON, ILLINOIS (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - The family of a missing East Alton woman is hoping and praying a body pulled from the Mississippi river Sunday is not that of their loved one. Bonnie Woodward disappeared in Alton June 25th at about 3:00 in the afternoon after getting off work. Her family members haven't seen or heard from her since. Every time a body is discovered in the Metro area they hold their breath, wondering whether it's their loved one.

Snipped.

Could possibly be Beth Bentley also. Her thread is closed.

Posts on the Find Bonnie Facebook wall indicate they have been told it may be weeks for identification. I hope they get some kind of answer sooner.

Would Stacy Peterson (Drew Petersons wife) be another possibility? It doesn't seem like it would be TOO far out of the way to rule her out...

I think the amount of time that Stacy has been missing and if she was in the water for that amount of time compared to the description given for the the condition of this body that was found is in, when it was found, rules out that this could be Stacy. (Sorry I don't want to be more graphic, but I hope you get the picture)

Just a theory...what if the man Bonnie was seen talking to said something like "If you come with me, I will take you to your (missing daughter)" Though the boyfriend said she wouldn't get in a car with someone she doesn't know...would she if it meant finding her daughter?

I was thinking the same thing-- saying that you knew something about a missing loved one may cause a person to make a snap decision like jumping into a car with a stranger...even someone who would normally never think of getting into a car with someone they didn't know.

The article states the body was so badly decomposed gender is unknown.

Prayers for Bonnies family and all families in the area with missing family members while they await official id on this unidentified person.
