Authorities are searching for a father of two who last was seen over the weekend after the truck he was driving turned up more than 50 miles from his home.

Jared Hanna, 28, of Jerseyville, last was seen between 8 and 11 p.m. Saturday frequenting several Alton bars. The truck he last was seen driving, a white 1990 GMC Sierra, was located about noon Saturday near Carlyle​

I agree - Jared's sister Hannah is close to my family. My cousin and her have a daughter. I pray they looked there. I know they were in Centrallia which is close to the lake. I also saw where he had his fishing gear with him. But saw where he was last seen in Alton at the bar. ​

Heather Hanna - the truck was found on joliff bridge road about 8 miles from Centralia. I am going to try and do a map because I don't know this area at all. and get the other road that was close it was backed into an old field road and there is a pond there. if you have any other questions please call me on my cell at 618-- Thank you for your help

Family and friends are organizing a search Saturday for a 28-year-old Jerseyville man and single father who hasn't been seen since last week.

Jared Hanna last was seen on Saturday, July 2. No one in his family or any of his friends has heard from him since his disappearance and they are concerned

Jared Hanna of Jerseyville has been missing for since July 2. Now many agencies, including the Jersey County Sheriff's Department and family members, are avidly searching for him.

"You just feel so lost, just helpless," said Pat New, Jared Hanna's mother.

"We are exhausted and just emotionally drained right now. I mean none of us are getting any sleep at all," said Heather Hanna, Jared's sister.

Does not sound promising that he was walking down a road in dark clothing late at night. Wondering if anyone in the area has vehicle damage and told friends they 'hit a deer'???

Going off what has been said in the facebook group, nothing has been found in the search on Saturday and on Sunday they brought SARS dogs down there and there were no hits at all. On Saturday, there were farmers that said they saw him and conversed with him and offered him water and pointed him towards a gas station in another town. Something just does not seem right with this, imho. I don't know what yet. I was supposed to go help search on Saturday and I could not. I hope that I will be able to help more the next time that they set something up.

No sign of missing man yet

The search continues for a man missing for more than a week with few leads to follow.

The only leads the Sheriff's Department has are the ones that emerged immediately, with even some of those now being questioned.

"I'm not sure when he was last seen at this point," Kallal said. "It's a piece of information that I've not been given."

Kallal said he believes reports that Hanna was seen in two Alton bars - The Big Muddy Pub, 204 State St., and Norb's Tavern, 2505 State St. - were mistaken.

"He may not have even been in Alton," Kallal said. "I'm not convinced that he was there."

This is fairly close to home for me, same county anyway. Drove through the area. Would love to help with a search if needed. Could not go this past Sat. though. An old friend of mine is a relative of Jared, so I'm really interested in the case. It all seems so odd. The family is surely tired and frustrated.
