IL - July 4 Parade, Highland Park, at least 6 fatally shot, 4 July 2022 *son charged, dad guilty*

So
If he created songs and videos as a rapper, he must have had expensive specialised equipment, no?
A kind of studio?
No, I don't think so. They can make videos in their room with a microphone and synthesizer. I don't know much about it, but some of the music my daughter and her friends listen to is by amateurs like him. They seem to collect quite a fan base if they're good. I've never been impressed with most of what I've heard. It can be painful to the ears.

It wasn't his claim. I saw his stuff on Spotify. And I'm like, "What?"

One song on his Spotify profile has 2 million listens.
Firearms were not that expensive.
Although one home is in foreclosure, there are other properties.

But that was AFTER his name was all over the news!
Also, someone might have searched for a similar played the song for 3 seconds, and turned it off. It's not an indication of fame. He used popular QANON slogans for plays.

The Firearm underage sponsoring form the father would have submitted.

Plus Crimo looks like a Dylan Roof.
Interesting form. They ask all the right questions of the guardian, but none about the minor who the gun is for. And there's this little nugget at the end:

"I hereby give my consent for this minor applicant to possess and acquire firearms and firearm ammunition and understand I shall be liable for any damages resulting from the minor applicant’s use of firearms or firearm ammunition."

i hope he isn’t making money off his new-found “fame.” Spotify needs to cancel him if it hasn’t done so already.

YES! Maybe, just maybe...........it seems dad might be in for an awakening. I saw where his attorney (an old family friend) is now trying to "spin it back" onto LE saying that by dad sponsoring the form only meant that dad was "acknowledging his son was looking to purchase" and that it was LE's responsibility to "check out" the actual person looking (the son) to get to ID.

What could he (dad) have been thinking? Second amendment or not - I'm not putting my life on the line for anyone else and their stupidity.

I was wondering exactly was was on the form. Thanks.

After his name hit the news I looked him up he had very few plays within an hour it hit the 2 million mark, and he'll receive royalties directly connected to his bank account so yes, he did profit from the plays. Unless the FBI etc prevents that.

He wasn't a famous YouTuber or rapper, that is just lazy reporting. Just because he claimed he was famous does not make it so.
He was and still is very much delusional.
Most of them never even get close to being famous. There are probably a million other wanna be's just like him.

And yes, I have no doubt he was delusional. Probably living in his own little internet world, convincing himself of his talent. He's probably isolated himself for years, starting when his parents took him out of school.

Wonderful! A new money-making scheme for would-be shooters.

Several addresses were attributed to CR in MSM despite a foreclosure at one residence.
ok - so according to what I found

$0.00437 x 2,000,000. = $8,740. very interesting. Wonder if LE / FBI and others are talking to spotify about this.
Would have to look at how many of those were AFTER this and does Illinois have any "son of sam" laws (that do not allow criminals to profit off their crime). Although his music really wasn't his crime.

Interesting - maybe his yucky, creepy music will save the taxpayers some money by helping to pay his some of his legal costs.

I think people forget INFAMY/FAME is a big motive in mass shootings.
Sometimes the only REAl motivation. They are angry, tired of being ignored, and want others to experience their rage. They feel the world owes them FAME.
Lots of people are extremely obsessed with fame.
It's become normalized. Not hard work but easy instant fame.

He might be sued by victims' families.

For allowing and sponsoring a mentally disturbed son to buy a weapon.

“I'm grateful that we only type here and don't speak, because I'm finding myself speechless”

I am completely speechless.
I'm grateful that we only type here and don't speak, because I'm finding myself speechless.

Earlier I'd read that the person who rescued Aiden was happy because the father was "only" shot in the leg, and so she could tell Aiden he'd see his parents soon.

When I saw this news earlier, that he was now orphaned at two years old, I just don't know how to react anymore. Those grandparents lost their adult child and it's not easy to raise a toddler when you are older (I speak from experience with my eldest grandchild, although I was only 47 when she was born). (Ugh, the killer's favorite number, now that I've typed it out).

On Anderson Cooper's show they stated that Crimo's mother was cited for a misdemeanor after leaving him in a hot car for 27 minutes when he was a toddler. I wonder if he ever found out about that and had a lot of resentment and/or anger?

I feel at least thankful that Aiden wasn't physically harmed. I'm grateful that Crimo didn't have a chance to attack the synagogue's congregants after he was discovered casing the place. I'm grateful that the father being interviewed on Cooper had the idea to put his young son and young brother into a dumpster to shield them.

This is a macabre weekly ritual we are experiencing in our country.

Insert place, insert name of killer, insert the number of dead and wounded. Insert the social media that should have been red flags. Insert possibly troubled childhood and possible mental illness. Insert potential motivation. Lather, rinse, repeat, cry.

Moo
Angry too

YES! Frustrated and angry that we cannot seem to do anything to prevent the next one.

My fear the media will create this fame, that simply did NOT exist until he massacred 8 people at the 4th of a July Parade.
Other untalented violent mass shooters will copy him to have instant fame. The media needs to stop making false claims.
He might have been known in a very small online circle of friends but far from a famous rapper as one media outlet kept repeating on live TV. These are dangerous to unstable teens/Young Adults looking for an easy way to fame/infamy.
He’s so gross to look at. What parent wouldn’t see this???? All IMO. I turn it off. I won’t look at him

They really need a separate type of charge for these mass shooters, because it seems like domestic terrorism. Something that goes under an "act of war" clause, that will bypass many legal rights for the terrorist who commits a crime like this. Just my opinion. Mass shooting? Straight to Gitmo. Or SuperMax. Quick trial. Stream line the process. There is no doubt he is the shooter.
