As of today, I am not finding any updates. Locals on social media talked about handing out flyers at the Thanksgiving Day parade, also hoping Robert might mingle in the crowds for food like free hot chocolate given to children. I keep praying for this young man!

Do we know if this pic is the only one available? and how current is it? It appears the pic was taken some time ago.

It's very obvious this young man did not want to go to school.
Hope he is found safe and sound..

Is that an up to date photo? He looks about 10 or 11 in it, but I could be wrong.

I've checked FB for more recent photos, no luck.

    *Go home Robert Bee*

That's exactly what I thought, too (Robert just looks so young in the face, even compared to my 12-year-old and his friends). Then I saw that the Peking Police Department posted on its official FB page, "This picture was provided by his school from this fall."

    Link to the post: https://www.facebook.com/2321994868...=1352103984842068&comment_tracking={"tn":"R"}

I have been trying to find his height, weight, etc., but to no avail so far :(. He has been missing for 8 days now (though I have seen November 18th as the date of disappearance as well; I will post links to MSM sources later), and I am really worried about Robert. This case is really starting to bother me.

    Robert's FB: https://www.facebook.com/robert.bee.710

The only thing I can see on his timeline is the selfie he posted on Feb. 3 of this year, but I can also see his list of friends (329), "Likes," etc.

My apologies for quoting my own post. So there appears to be confusion over exactly when Robert disappeared:

According to a Nixle alert issued by PPD on Mon., Nov. 21st at 11:05 a.m. CST:
"On Thursday November 17th, Pekin Police were called to a residence on Sapp Street to assist a Truancy Officer. Upon Police arrival, the 13 year old male known to be Robert Bee Jr. fled from the Police of foot. When Robert did not return to his mother’s house on Friday, she reported him as a runaway ." (BBM)
    https://local.nixle.com/alert/5783043/

According to a FB post by PPD on Wed., Nov. 23rd at 11:39 a.m.:
"Robert Bee (13) who ran away last Thursday, has not been located."
    https://www.facebook.com/2321994868...199486832529/1352094908176309/?type=3&theater

    According to a ciproud.com article from Mon., Nov. 21 at 5:23 p.m.:
"Police say 13-year-old Robert Bee Junior ran away from his home on the 200 block of Sapp Street in Pekin last Thursday after an argument with a truancy officer in front of his house.
'The 13-year-old male took off running from the police and when he did not return home, his mother reported him as a runaway,' said Pekin Police Det. Mike Eeten.
His mother is telling neighbors and volunteer searchers a different story while they look for her son.
'It was Friday morning, his friend walked him to the bus stop and he didn't get on the bus, he didn't go to school,' Bee said.
Now those inconsistencies are creating worry for the volunteers.
    <snipped by me>
"Pekin police tell us the teen is listed as endangered because of the cold weather and the uncertainty of his situation."
    http://www.centralillinoisproud.com/news/local-news/search-continues-for-missing-teenager-in-pekin
(Also, "His mother says he also suffers from epilepsy and has seizures as a result.": http://www.cinewsnow.com/news/local/Volunteers-search-for-missing-Pekin-boy-402334766.html)

So, what I have deduced is that Robert was definitely seen by the Truancy Officer and LE on Thursday; according to Robert's mom, the following morning a friend of Robert's walked him to the bus stop, but he didn't get on the bus and he didn't go to school, but as far as I can tell, LE haven't made any reference to this. Hmmm ... even more worried for Robert ... :(.

Also, according to an earlier NIXLE alert issued by PPD, "Robert is 4'6" and 110 pounds. Robert was last seen wearing a red/grey shirt with jeans, and red Nike shoes."

He has a lot of random Facebook friends. I hope he hasn't been tricked into going and meeting someone he met online.

I live a few miles from Pekin and this whole thing is maddening. He has been labelled a runaway, and there is as of yet no Amber Alert issued. Mom's story has changed and is suspicious. Several civilian search parties have scoured the area, which is a very small town, and fliers have been posted, but Robert is still missing now for over a week. Here are the facebook pages for the Pekin PD and his mom Lisa Bee. (She has 2 others but this is her main page). Mods, I hope it is okay to share this info.

It sounds like the story is a bit inconsistent. Am I understanding correctly that the police say he was last seen in the afternoon, but mom claims he was actually home in the morning on Friday, and walked a friend to the bus stop? But she didn't tell LE this?

I'm confused. And very concerned about this boy. I don't think there's going to be a positive outcome.

Me Too - the Creve Coeur Prefecture. Yes, something doesn't seem quite right. Where is Robert Bee Sr.; did I miss something? Maybe we should organize a CentIL Websleuths regional conference.:tomato:

Mom: "According to his mom says he ran off Thursday morning because he didn't want to go to school.
She says he returned that evening and asked to spend the night with a friend and told her he was going to school the next day. But she says he never showed up there."
(From the same article: "'Generally when you have a runaway they may disappear for a day or two sometimes longer, that's not uncommon. In this situation we have searched his friends houses talked to his friends parents,' said Pekin Police Detective Mike Eeten." (BBM)
    http://www.cinewsnow.com/news/local/Volunteers-search-for-missing-Pekin-boy-402334766.html

Also Mom: "'It was Friday morning, his friend walked him to the bus stop and he didn't get on the bus, he didn't go to school,' Bee said." (BBM)

    My understanding:
Police say: When Robert didn't come home on Friday after fleeing on foot from the truancy officer and the police in the afternoon the day before, his mom reported him as a runaway.

Mom says: Robert came home Thursday evening and asked to spend the night with a friend, also telling her he was going to school the next day. Friday morning, His friend walked Robert to the bus stop, but he didn't get on the bus or go to school (this is not to say the mom is claiming Robert was actually home Friday morning; reading some of the comments being posted by locals on Peking Police Department's official FB page has helped me understand this part a lot better - definitely considering it rumor, but some of it makes a lot of sense).

land of Lincoln here. I haven't seen a word about this on my social media which is odd to me. Very worrisome the lack of concrete timeline.

I have never heard of teh the lost boys of pekin org. Are there so many missing boys in the pekin area? Shocked because I am not that far from Pekin and never heard of that group.

I had the same question, so I looked at the "About" section of their FB page, and it says the page was set up in order to help find Robert. Also, their first timeline post was on November 20th -about Robert-, so I believe this is a group of caring individuals trying to aid in the search for Robert in particular.

There was also another boy who was missing for a day but he was found safely. Initially the facebook was only about Robert and was changed to include the second boy. The person in charge I believe intends to change the name back to the original so people can find it easier. Robert's dad is blind and disabled and lives in a nursing home in Morton IL, a few miles from Pekin. I am very very worried about this young man. I volunteer at TAPS No-Kill shelter which is only a mile from where Robert lives, and yesterday I drove by his house at 233 Sapp. St. It is TINY. Checking on Trulia, it only has a square footage of 440, smaller than a lot of apartments. The Pekin PD have said they searched the home. I wonder why there have not been any scent dogs, and why this is not ALL OVER the media in central IL? When Lisa was interviewed by WMBD she was about the least frantic mom of a missing child I have ever seen. Hinky!! Things are not adding up at all. Praying hard for a good outcome. Tlcya, nice to know you are in my neck of the woods.
