I think LE knows who did it, and they need one thing to corroborate their theory. I think they'll know it when they see /hear it. I don't understand though why no one has yet been charged if they know so much?? Faith. HOping that today is the day.

What army of lawyers do you mean? Defense lawyers soliciting people around Delphi rumored to be the killer, whether they are or not? Or do you mean something else, Charlot?
Suddenly I’m wondering if the BG/killer has actually retained a lawyer. Huh. Hadn’t occurred to me before, but I don’t know why not —especially if he can afford a retainer fee or if someone very close to him can help with that. And if he has, maybe that makes things even more sensitive for investigators.

Just a reminder: No long after the murders, the person put up a large part of the reward is seen on video saying that DC told him they thought the perp was from out of state.

My opinion has always been, the yolk of the jacket and the sleeves are of a camo print, while the rest of the body of the jacket is plain navy. He's had the jacket for sometime as, in my opinion, there is a well worn image of his gun on his right pocket. The fanny pack will be another distinct identifier, well worn and often used. I pray someone out there will come forward recalling those items belonging to someone they knew or still know

I don't have a link but wasn't there a more recent interview where le says BG blended in when he left the scene? Could that underneath hoodie be camo? Does anyone else remember hearing that comment?

Well, I suddenly imagined it happening somewhere close to me. Someone being killed, and the police scrutinizing everyone living in the vicinity. My pattern of thinking would be, "omg, my (man, kid, a family member) goes to that place, often. What if they don't like him, think he is not trustworthy? Even a shred of suspicion will ruin his (life, career, health etc)." Supposedly I trust my family members to the extreme and know it were not them; moreover, we all spent the whole day watching TV. I'd still call a lawyer in this case. I assume many Delphians thought along the same lines.

  7. I remember very well, how perplexed I was.

Have the three people in the background been identified? The well may have seen the girls and the suspect. They look to be resting and may be older folks that the girls may have easily passed on a hike. Photo copied from a YouTube video. Judging from the muscle tone in the legs and the way the pant fit my guess is this guy is 50+. Also when a fellow gets a little gut on him we often walk with our hands in our pockets to hold our pants up.

I’m pretty sure that is a still from Libby’s phone video of BG, that GH has spliced onto a different photo/video of the bridge while he was trying to do whatever he was trying to do that day. GH liked to try and match parts of the bridge to determine distances etc. Two different photos of the bridge taken at different times, edited together. The three figures in the background are not from Libby’s phone. They were not there on Feb 13 2017.

I agree - especially if parents were being asked to allow LE to question their children about whether they knew Abby or Libby, had interacted with them at school or church or online or during sports, or had seen them that day, or knew anyone who was perhaps a bit too interested in them. I think it would be a pretty common reaction to try to protect that child from such interrogation. Even if you think your kid is the most innocent child on the planet and can't possibly have done anything criminal, you probably wouldn't allow him be questioned without counsel present about circumstances relating to a double kidnapping/murder. Or maybe I just watch too much Law and Order.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

First photo the lowest blue dot, in the center closest to the water. That is the approximate location, although slightly further right of that.

An easy way to remember this and quickly find the area is that the bodies location was almost exactly perpendicular left from the end of the bridge. Then across Deer Creek and 50-60 feet up from the bank. It will look too far upstream at first glance but it really isn't. Most maps if they err tend to have the site too far downstream.

    Thank you.
Should I edit my posting? After your explanation it seems I'm adding distracting information on the subject.

I have read a lot of people say that if you were not local you would not know the area where they went and were found, also doesn't his accent sound local?

I think they sketches are totally confusing IMO

Also has anyone watched the Shack? and got any thoughts on that ?

    Well that is strange.
The billboards seem to indicate that.
MOO the recording may be too short for a professional but MOO it's from Kentucky near the south eastern Indiana border. He could live or work anywhere including near Delphi, but be from out of state originally.

It's a rural midwestern accent IMO, so the trouble is that it's shared across a wide swath of the country. It's not confined to Delphi specifically or Carroll County or even that exact part of Indiana. Drop down in parts of southern Ohio and you will find men talking exactly like that IMO, and it's the same in many other places.

One of the reporters from the podcast Down the Hill said that they wanted to have a former FBI linguistic specialist on to talk about the accent but that ended up not happening because the expert told them that in his opinion there was not enough in those four words to pinpoint an exact area of the country or say much of anything about it.

The Shack mention by Carter, is only meaningful to him (IMO) and is not related at all to this case. I think he was trying to appeal to the suspect. After that press conference and the way Carter spoke there and in the DTH podcast, I found it's best not to hang on to his wording. He puts his own emotions and spin out there too much. IMO

I agree with this and would add, he was also trying to appeal, if you want to use that word, to the families and the members of the community who were still grieving and suffering. The themes in The Shack just so happened to match his own worldview of how you can deal with grief through faith and he wanted to share that IMO.

In the podcast Scene of the Crime: A New Direction, minute 50:10: Carter is asked, can he clear up his remarks regarding The Shack? Did the girls die in a shack? Carter's answer: "There was no shack." He further explains that the movie reflects his personal values about morality and redemption and illustrates, in his opinion, how a person might cope with loss through faith.

Did both Libby and Abby have phones that day or was it just Libby?
