Circumstances of Discovery​

The victim was found in a rural area of Hendricks County. This victim was found on the same day as Richard Wayne near Indianapolis, Indiana. Both men were victims of serial killer Larry Eyler AKA The Highway Killer. Between 1982-1984, Eyler was responsible for the homicides of at least two dozen male hitchhikers, homosexuals, and prostitutes in Illinois and Indiana. Seven victims, including, this victim, 999UMIN, 1384UMIN and 3070UMIN remain unidentified. Eyler was sentenced to death for the murder of Danny Bridges on July 9, 1986, but he died from AIDs on March 6, 1994 before it could be carried out. This victim is nicknamed "DeWayne".

We really need a facial reconstruction for him

I’ll be honest, I clicked because I was wondering if there was a particular reason they decided to call him Dewayne.

But as a Hoosier, I absolutely want to see this man identified. As well as 999UMIN. If they have enough info for a facial reconstruction yes that would be good.

Sort of random question, but with today’s tech couldn’t there be a database of faces? Machine learning algorithms could probably match likely relatives based on the metrics of facial features. I work in a field that uses MRI brain scans and we’ve been aware that at some point we’ll have to add more security because with today’s tech, it is theoretically possible to reconstruct a face from an MRI of the head even though only certain tissue types are visible.
