This case is local to me. The info posted here by los is pretty much all I've heard. I don't know who he was last seen by, who he last talked to...

His family has his phone and iPad but cannot access either one. He last talked to someone (who?) at 7am.

His last Facebook post was that same day at 7:45am.

He certainly chose an interesting profile pic change on the day he went missing.
Someone should track down his male companion for possible information.

Someone local might retrace his route to work that morning and check along embankments for any sign of an accident such as leaving the road. Some of the embankments in that area are steep.

I sincerely hope Craig is safe, but this might help explain his disappearance:

Craig Whitham, 42, is an emergency medical technician for Aurora Emergency Rescue, a private non-profit company in Aurora, Indiana that makes more than 1,000 runs each year. Whitham has worked there for 22 years, and also served as the company's treasurer for about a year.

The president of Aurora Emergency Rescue called police Monday to report discrepancies in the company's books.

Sources said at least $50,000 was missing, and it could be as much as $100,000. The company has an annual budget of about $200,000 funded by riverboat gambling profits, insurance reimbursements and donations.

    still missing:

Craig Whitham has been charged with one count of theft for allegedly stealing $106,000 from Aurora Emergency Rescue.

When Witham was questioned about the money, he admitted to being responsible. He told police he made unauthorized ATM transactions, wrote checks to himself and paid himself more than his salary by issuing both paychecks and direct deposit payments.

Witham also told police he has a serious gambling addiction and had spent almost all of the money on gambling, mostly at Rising Star Casino. He also spent some of the money at Belterra Casino in Vevay, Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg and Harrah Casino in New Albany.

Me, too, and I hope that he gets the help he needs and turns his life around. It sounds like prior to this incident, Mr. Whitham did a lot of good for his community, and was well loved by many.

He looks so different in his booking photo. I am curious as to where he was hiding, if he was being aided, and what prompted his decision to finally turn himself in. I think that these types of information could be helpful in solving similar cases in the future.
