Yeah - I hate court site that don't give "plain" explanations... So I will change my notes to granting motion for continuance for both Carroll cases. Thanks! :)

As of today, they have not posted the order that grants the motion for continuance.

Blame Google if this is total nonsense :) I have not one iota of legal expertise.

A continuance is a grant of additional preparation time before or during a trial. Either the prosecution or the defense can request a continuance, and sometimes even the court can order a continuance of its own accord.

Elsewhere I read 'good cause' for a continuance would be if his attorney is unavailable due to death or he is seeking new council and that attorney would need more time.

VINElink shows he's still in Newton County jail.

Thanks for the latest info FrostedGlass!

Guess we can wait until they update the court site. The next hearing is on 5/1 for Mathis, so we have time. Thanks again! :)

It seems to me that GK and/or AG lawyer are just time wasting and playing games in the CaCo cases. (I think the victim was Garth)
If he gets convicted of that then AG will use it in her defence regarding the murder case IMO.

Ok, I think the reason they left things hanging was because the clerk made a mistake and had to fix it. The Motion for Continuance was not granted on 3/10 as recorded; it was granted on Monday. The invasion of privacy charge now has the same dates as this one (bolded).

    Here's the updated one:

    08D01-1901-F6-000013 Strangulation, Domestic Battery

03/10/2020 = Order Granting Motion for Continuance

Anything on Newton County #56D01-1904-MR-000367 - that's Nicole's murder charge.

    and....
on Tippercanoe County #79D05-1902-F6-000263? That's theft charge

He's got TOO many charges against him.....

Here's some fresh baked cookies while you look those up!

There is nothing new on the murder charge; here are the last 2 entries:
    01/22/2020 = Discovery Filed
    07/13/2020 = Jury Trial

And the last entry for the theft:
04/02/2019 = Warrant or Writ of Attmnt for the Body of a Person Issued
