Jul 10, 2018Investigators have identified the DNA profile of a second female inside the Oshawa residence of Adam STRONG.

Trace samples that have come back from the Ontario Centre of Forensic Sciences led to missing Oshawa resident Kandis FITZPATRICK. DNA samples provided by her parents were used to assist with this identification. FITZPATRICK was born in 1989 and has been missing since 2008. Her whereabouts are still unknown and investigators are reaching out to the public for any information about her association to STRONG. She would have turned 29-years old on February 3rd this year.

STRONG was charged with Improper/Indecent Interference with a Dead Body after DNA evidence confirmed that remains of 18-year-old Rori HACHE were located in the house in December 2017. Her torso had been located three months earlier at the Oshawa lakefront.
"Investigators would also like to ask that anyone who has knowledge of Adam STRONG's movements or associations from the mid-1990s until his arrest in December of 2017 to come forward. Investigators are interested in speaking to anyone who may have assisted STRONG in towing his 18-foot boat to any body of water in the GTA. STRONG was known to live in both central Oshawa, Rideau Street and the Nonquon Road-area of Oshawa over the past 20 years.

At this time, STRONG is not facing any new charges. However, he remains in custody on the Interference with a Dead Body charge.

A photo of the boat is attached or can be viewed at www.drps.ca under Newsroom.

Anyone with new information pertaining to this investigation is urged to call the DRPS Major Crime - Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5407/5325.

Anonymous information can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward."

DNA of 2nd missing woman found in Adam Strong's home
DhwcXppWsAEX_Pa.jpg

"Fitzpatrick was last seen in 2008. Her family reported her missing two years later.

Short said testing confirmed that the DNA sample was a genetic match to Fitzpatrick’s parents.

We strongly believe that the DNA located is that of Kandis Fitzpatrick,” he said.

“We are, however, taking steps to confirm that 100 per cent.”

Police won’t speculate if they believe Fitzpatrick is still alive or if she is dead but they say they are “concerned for her safety.”

Investigators did not comment on the nature of the DNA.

Including Rori's thread..

Police are now looking to speak with family and friends to help track down her last known location.

Based on the new DNA evidence, police were able to obtain a new search warrant for Strong’s home and commenced the new search on Monday. Det. Short said they will be focusing on the backyard."

"Investigators have also been re-examining outstanding missing persons cases in Durham Region, noting that 2,000 of people are reported missing each year and only 43 people since 1963 remain unaccounted for.

There are only two that “even fall close to the parameters” - a missing girl from 1963 and another from 1996."

Wondering if this is the 1963 case that LE are alluding to? speculation.

Serial killer fears in Oshawa, Ont. case

The investigation into the bizarre world of Adam Strong may get much darker, a serial killer expert tells The Toronto Sun.

On Tuesday, Durham Regional Police detectives announced a second woman’s DNA had been found in Strong’s seedy downtown Oshawa apartment.

Cops believe the woman is Kandis Fitzpatrick, who was 18 when she disappeared in 2008.

The McMillan Dr. apartment was also where the remains of Rori Hache, 18, were discovered last December.

From the link here:

"“I don’t want to be seen to be raising the alarm but this could be just like McArthur,” Arntfield said. “This could be a train that no one can stop. And there could be a lot more. This investigation will spread, mark my words.”"

That's rather unsettling. :(

Oh boy, here we might go again! Very curious to know what film sets he may have worked on.

From link..
"Strong, 45, “ticks a lot of boxes”, the former cop said.

Cops say he had lived in the McMillan Dr. apartment since 2007. He worked as a gas station attendant and as a security guard on movie sets.

“Research has shown that gas station attendants are the third most frequent serial killers among unskilled labour,” he said. “Security is number one among administration jobs.”

He added: “He’s ticking two major boxes right there.”

Both jobs require working weird hours and in both instances, vulnerable people are in the mix.

Strong often sold cigarettes to underage girls, sources told The Sun last December."

This is horrible.

I lived right down the road from where Adam Strong Lived for about 10 years and this has turned the whole neighbourhood upside down. Basically, Kandis went missing and the police refused to look or post anything about her missing status. 10 years later they found her DNA at the home and I'm so disgusted in the Durham Police. Shame on them.

I honestly believe the DNA found was a "keepsake" for the sick 🤬🤬🤬. Before Rori was ever identified he took a picture of one single bobby pin, he claims he was magnet fishing but I wonder could that have been a keepsake that he just wanted to flash around? so many unanswered questions.

EDIT: Is there a sepcific thread dedicated to the two cases and Adam Strong? I feel this may get bigger and it might be easier to lump it into one category.

They would have found her by now I believe. I don't know if you have heard that another lady was missing, I believe Darlene Powell? They thought maybe it was Darlene or Kandis who's DNA they found because those were the only two missing that fit the timeline. When they found Darlene in Sudbury they knew it wasn't Darlene and they tested Kandis's family which came back a hit.

I unfortunately do think she is gone. 10 years is a long time to be missing and to have your DNA found on top of that makes the situation worse IMO. I seen the pictures that were posted after they ripped apart Adams home, someone had snuck in and taken the photos. The police ripped up the floor, the baseboards and fingerprinted every square inch of that apartment. I believe what they found was probably very old and he probably thought he had "got rid of" the DNA.

After learning that it was "trace dna" found I did some snooping on the subject. I'll be honest and admit that I apparently have been dna ignorant until now just assuming that dna is dna and thus undeniable proof. Reading up on the subject though has shown me that I couldn't be more wrong about that. This article lays it out the best in layman's terms explaining how easily dna can be found and how all the advancement in the field can actually cause more problems than find answers for LE in some cases.

Dad of missing teen: ‘I could have choked Adam Strong to death’
200106_4324042518_78_n-e1531244729293.jpg

"Bill Fitzpatrick forced himself to sit at the back of the courtroom.

Any closer and the devastated dad says he would have jumped over the glass in courtroom 208 and “choked Adam Strong to death”.

Strong, 46, was in court Monday morning for a scheduled five-day preliminary inquiry. He is charged with a single count of committing an indignity to a dead body.

Cops have declared Hache’s death a homicide, but no murder charges have been laid."
"But Kandis is still listed as missing. Fitzpatrick keeps a candle flickering in his heart that his child just took off one day and is married with kids.

“I’d still rather have hope than closure,” he said.

Strong will be back in court Nov. 8."
