I keep checking to see if any more information has been released on the body that was found. So far, nothing new. Such a sad story. I feel terrible for her family.
 
That's odd that the family is going forward with funeral arrangements and yet they are still waiting for dental records.

The Attorney General's office says they are waiting for dental records to positively identify the body found in Great Bend this week. The family of Alicia DeBolt, who went missing last Saturday, is moving forward with funeral arrangements.

OK, here is new map. I had to delete the other one. Sorry it took so long, but I wanted to double check info beforehand. I see where NG got her info. Venture Construction must have an office location in town (214 S US Hwy 281) and their yard is located where the body was found SW of town. (on map)

Also, from posts and the FB site I gathered the name of Camp Aldrich where the Quinceanera? was??? Not knowing if this was an area of interest or the location of actual party, but it is 15+ miles north of Great Bend in Clafin, KS. Near a college. Trying to find out what a Quinceanera is?
I kept the party location area per NG's map......may change......

Quinceanera a party.

When a girl turns 15. Almost like a sweet 16 but most are Catholic based too.

It's like a coming out party.
 
She was going to a Quince?

Was that the Party that late at night? I can see why her Mother would allow her to go if so, it's usually a family gathering and friends of the 15 yr old girl. It can be formal a lot of the times. But as a teenaged guest you can wear what you want it's no matter.

Investigation into teen's disappearance.

The body, found five miles west of town in the U.S. 56-Dundee area near the Venture asphalt plant, was taken to Wichita Tuesday for an autopsy. However, it was unidentifiable except through dental records and it wasn’t until Wednesday evening that qualified personnel could be brought in for the testing, Young said.

That's what I find strange also. Did this party not start til late, if in fact this was the party she was to attend?

Getting a little detail in this case is proving to be a challenge.

Per the link I provided above. I guess LE confirmed with the family and the family/friends are informing others. Just positive ID for the legality I guess. LE are not wanting to say why her body was unidentifiable, but they may have clothing or jewelry to basically confirm. jmo

Amid reports that DeBolt’s family has received confirmation that the body was indeed that of DeBolt, Unified School District 428 is preparing for the worst. DeBolt would have been a freshman and a cheerleader at GBHS.

If this is the party she was supposed to be attending then I can see where it would go on for a while.

For example: My kids attended a lot of them last year (my two oldest teens would go together because they would both be invited to the same girl's party at their High School).

A lot of times it will be early evening. Say 7-8 PM the party starts and then it just goes on for awhile. The last one my kids went to I said they had to come home at midnight. When we went to pick them up the party was still going on but mostly with the adults in the extended family. It really is a family oriented type of party. JMHO.

I can only go on what LE is stating in the link you provided regarding LE waiting on dental records to positively identify the body. More then likely LE may have told the parents it's more likely then not that it is Alicia but let's wait for a positive ID. I just found it odd that the funeral arrangements were being made without a positive ID. JMO.

There is VERY little question that it is her....this is a small town, murders are rare (assuming this is one) and missing people are rare. For both to happen at the same time leaves little question that they are connected, unfortunately. It is one of those places where everyone knows everyone, and a very nice and usually safe place to live.
