KS - Patricia Kimmi, 58, Horton, 6 Nov 2009 - #7, New Arrest 3/12/13

I can't be the only one who's getting a little nervous about the investigation and evidence after seeing today's testimony from the undersheriff.

Didn't test the tire treads? Didn't ID the truck parts? Didn't check the sawmill until March?

What???

Please, please, please tell me there is a strategy behind all of this! :(

I'm feeling like you are Fairy. Reading on and on throughout the testimony made me nearly sick. No doubt Heathman is going to try to discredit the small town LE as much as he can, but it seems like some of the things that weren't done, would have been done! I'm sure that the Heathman team's strategy is to create "reasonable doubt." Come on, KBI, etc., please have records that are more concrete!
Wishing the Kimmi kids and loved ones a good weekend although it will probably be a stressful one. As a "bystander" I can't get this week's testimonies out of my head, so I feel that Pat's family must be very emotional and very stressed. Sending prayers your way, Kimmi kids :praying:

Oh jeez, the more I read the worse I feel about this! Considering the snail's pace of the investigation, I really assumed they were being overly thorough. As of today, that certainly does not seem to be the case at all.

I hope I'm wrong but right now, I just want to cry.....

Gene and Rita, I do hope you all know more than we're seeing and have better insight than we do. Wish we could all be there to support ya'll every day. Prayers.

No worries so far. We know what was found on RoHo's property. One can chip away at truth but the truth still remains.

I think this link has sub-links to each portion of the trial:

I still don't see ReHo's testimony. Am I blind or did she not testify today?

I didn't see anything about her either. Maybe there wasn't time since so much time was spent with other witnesses.

Thanks for the reminder about the evidence wfgodot! We must think positive and get those helpless, negative thoughts out of our heads!

Thanks for the link to the Hiawatha news. Here are links to the Sabetha news paper from today.

Thank you, wfg. You're right. And the fact that Hollister has changed his story is a good thing. He did place himself at the scene of the abduction (at least) and his "rolled-up rug" story does not match up with one of the things we have known for a long time.

Deep breath.....

Oh dear, these articles didn't make me feel any better!

Rita and Gene and family,

I don't want to take anything from you, but I'm going to borrow a bit of your faith, if you don't mind. I know you have been confident in the LE working your Mom's case, so I'm going to piggyback off that.

Please know that we are all with you in spirit and sending you our prayers and positive energy every day.

Listening to all the testimony so far you have to wonder why Eugene has not been arrested yet. I am sure that there is some reason - something that makes them believe RoHo is the killer and Eugene is a conspirator.

I hate hearing all of it! It sickens me to think anyone could do that. I hate how they keep trying to make it sound like DJ was involved!!

WIBW article said 'trial is running behind schedule' 'next week witness will be Rebecca Hollister'.....

It has to be nearly impossible to report every question asked and answered so I do think there is a much larger picture presented to those of us who are at the trial.

May you be lifted up in the wake of our Mom's faith, Fairy! Hers was "King-sized" and we carry it with us always.

That is comforting @EyesTH!! I am sure the media wants to report the most sensational parts -- and the parts that makes the rest of us gasp! I can't imagine having to sit through it all though.

ReHO takes the stand next week -- surely before it is all said and done she will go down as an accomplice. By his own testimony SHE KNEW!! I have wondered, there is not mention of the accident they were in -- was it
ruled that they couldn't bring it up in this trial?

I am glad I am not sitting in the courtroom as I would have a hard time controlling my temper. I already had to set a cousin straight on FB when she commented on a post I shared of the Sabetha Herald's coverage of the trial that "I was too involved in something that doesn't involve me."

Believe me -- NOW she knows how involved I am with this (emotionally) How Rude!

Most people really don't get it. So glad we have one another here!

Very much looking forward to ReHo's testimony next week.

I'm starting this thread to follow the trial. I'll move all posts from 2/22/2011 here.

I'm going to quote them so the timing doesn't get messed up.

ITA...I know that I certainly feel a tremendous emotional connection to Pat and her loving family after reading here and following the family's heartfelt posts. It almost seems like many of us have emotionally adopted this family into our own as we have come to know how they were so tight and caring of Pat and one another. This is truly a family devoted to God, faith and their mother. I aspire to have their grace and dignity.

So how does Roho's version explain everything that was found along the road to Pat's house? He's done.
