    • Distinguishing Characteristics: Auburn to sandy colored hair. Small to medium build. Bone mass shows he was in good shape. He didn't have any broken bones.
    • Clothing: He was wearing a purple to lavender Bugle Boy shirt, khaki shorts, and was wrapped in bedding.
    • DNA: Available
    • Dentals: Available; it does appear one of his front teeth had been pulled or removed at a young age and the two teeth had overlapped, but other than that there’s no cavities, no dental work whatsoever; he had nearly perfect teeth.

Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office ask for help in solving cold case

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in solving a cold case homicide after new technology made a computer-enhanced facial reconstruction possible.

The Sheriff’s office said the case involves a decomposed body that was found in a shallow grave near 55th Street West and 47th Street South in late October 1994. They said the man was likely murdered between June and October 1994 and not killed where their body was found.

The man was a white male, 20-30 years old, with a medium build, 5′8″ to 6′0″ tall, with auburn to sandy-colored hair.

Technology provided by the FBI and Smithsonian Institute, Department of Anthropology helped create a composite of the man’s face. Officials believe this can help solve the case if they can identify the man.

According to Charley Project, Jack sustained serious head injuries from a hammer a month before he went missing. I imagine that if the UID had evidence of head injuries, it would have been noted (the UID is said to have no evidence of current or healed broken bones). Also, it seems Jack's family believes he was killed over a drug debt -- if that's true, I can't see the killer(s) driving over 16 hours to dispose of the body when there is an abundance of extremely remote areas right outside of Salt Lake City.

Circumstances: Eric was last seen in Daingerfield, Texas on September 6, 1990. He disappeared the day after his fifteen-year-old girlfriend, Martha Dunn, did. Both of them are classified as runaways.

There was a theory that Martha and Eric had traveled to Hayworth, Oklahoma. Eric's aunt lived there and there were several reported sightings of the pair there. Another theory was that they had gone to Kansas, possibly to the Wichita area; Eric's mother lived in Kansas. Neither of those theories has been confirmed.

Eric and Martha were both heavily involved with drugs at the time they went missing; it's possible their disappearances were drug-related. However, there is no evidence of foul play, and police continue to believe they left of their own accord. Both cases remain unsolved. Augusta, Kansas police are helping investigate.

Shortly afterwards, his truck was found at the Huntington Street Bridge in Wabash, Indiana, with the keys in the ignition and his wallet and cigarettes inside as well. It would be uncharacteristic of him to leave the cigarettes behind. The only thing missing from the car was Eviston's rifle, which he always took with him; it has never been found.

His grandmother got a call from him in 1993, but this is the last contact he ever had with his family. Couto's family believes he may be still alive and somewhere in the southern United States. Circumstances: Jason disappeared from Billings, Montana on June 1, 1993. He has never been heard from again. Jason would have graduated high school in 1993, but he had dropped out by the time of his disappearance. He does not have a history of drug or alcohol problems, but he did have a history as a runaway.

Jason was born in Ohio and is adopted; the identities of his biological parents are unknown, and his adoptive mother died in 2001. In 2000 or 2001, someone tried and failed to access his bank account in Ohio; authorities investigated, but were never able to determine the individual's identity. Jason's case remains unsolved. In the video at the link I shared, they mentioned that they believed the death was homicide by head trauma. Since it was months before the remains were found, this made me wonder if the head trauma could actually have been prior to death.

On October 29, 1994, the body of an unidentified male was found in a field located at 5600 W. 47th St. S. On Thursday, the sheriff’s office confirmed that the man was Harold “James” Crawford. He was 21 when he died.

The sheriff’s office plans to release more details on the investigation on Friday.
