    I can't feel sorry for him, and now we have to cover the costs of his illnesses while he's in jail.

    I can feel bad for him. He got a stiff sentence for a petty crime. Yeah, he shouldn't have run but jeez, it's been 40 years & he hasn't seemed to be living a criminal lifestyle, aside from being on the run. People can change for the better. I can empathize without excusing though.
