@nerosleuth Thx for posting this.WYMT-TV is reporting that the state medical examiner has confirmed that the cause of death was a wound consistent with a self inflicted gunshot to the head.
Positive identification still has not been made on the body that was found near I-75, and the state medical examiner said that a deeper test will be conducted after the results of a soft tissue DNA test were inconclusive.

Does it seem unusual to anyone else that positive ID could not be made w remains of suspected shooter w DNA test the med examiner conducted?
It's only been, what, presumably 12 days, of decomposition?
Just found these articles by googling. Not sure if any will explain why a soft tissue test result was inconclusive or why a bone test is better.
Maybe someone here can enlighten us?
