"They're starting on another side today and coming up out of Beaver Creek on the right hand fork," Doug Tackett, Pike County Emergency Management Director, said.

"They'll try to cover all of this back to the Virginia state line."

WYMT-TV also reported that Ramey left his medicine at home.

Since the area where he went missing is along the Kentucky-Virginia border, has he ever drove his ATV into Virginia that you know of?

Do you call him Richard? Or does he have a nickname? Rick? Just asking so I can include the name in my prayers.

I hope you'll find him soon.

We know him as David. That's his middle name. The news outlet used Richard.

Oh dear, are there any ravines or hills he could have crashed into? Not easily accessible? Im sure if there are these are the places you would be checking.

Plenty of them. That's about all there is. Here is one picture of our area. This is The Breaks Interstate park and I'm about 5 miles away. Just giving you an idea of the Terrain.

I'm guessing yes, because we do all the time.

Needle in a hay stack is pretty accurate. :(

I hope he is found safe very soon Tulessa. You and the rest of the family must be so scared. It's still possible he is just in need of being found and helped to get back home.

I do know that in addition to picking up the tv station from Hazard, KY and depending on which county folks in Eastern Kentucky live in, they also pick up tv stations from Lexington, KY, Huntington, WV, and Bristol, VA-Johnson City, TN as well.

It might be a good idea to have the tv stations from Bristol and Huntington mention on their newscasts that Richard Ramey from Pike County, Kentucky is missing.

I wish I lived closer and could help you. Praying for David and your family.

Praying for David. God please lead the searchers to him.

His family touches my heart. They are so worried about him.

Sending prayers up for Mr. Ramey!
and the entire family.
Hugs Tulessa!
Keep your faith and strength!

I wonder if there were maintenance issues with the ATV, or if it possibly ran out of gas? The video made no mention of an obvious accident or damage to it.

Now that they located the ATV this will help them narrow the search area so that's a good thing.

Waiting for further (good) news......
