This is such a sad case, but I'm waiting on official law enforcement confirmation that this little one's been found deceased.

Around 2 p.m. on Friday, detectives found the four year-old’s body in a wooded area near the 1300 block of Skyview Rd in West Point near the Jefferson-Bullitt Co. line, according to Kentucky State Police.

Serenity’s mother, 21-year-old Catherine McKinney of Shepherdsville and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Dakota Hill have been charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.

Both McKinney and Hill are in custody at Shelby Co. Detention Center after being charged for custodial interference by the SCSO.

Even though we were afraid this would be the outcome, it hurts my heart and makes me so sad. A beautiful, innocent baby girl. I feel for the extended family members who became concerned and obviously loved Serenity and had been trying for so long to check on her. They must be devastated.

No one is compelled to be a parent, it's a privilege.
If Serenity's mother didn't want her, let bio dad have her and if that wasn't an option --allow her to be adopted out to a loving family.

My first thought after the death of little Damari Perry ( his case is here : IL - Damari Perry 6, murdered by mom & brother, found in abandoned house, Chicago, 7 Jan 2022 *ARREST* | Page 6 ) was : did they try to do something to hide Serenity's small remains ?

What a sad and completely avoidable outcome for this child. I always wonder what flawed mental process causes one or both parents to kill their child rather than put them up for adoption.
