SHAWN GLOVER IS A MISSING PERSON FROM POWELL COUNTY. HE WAS LAST SEEN AT THE CLAY CITY INN ON SEPTEMBER 27TH OF 2019. SHAWN IS A WHITE MALE AND STANDS AT 5’11” AND WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 140 POUNDS. We were requested to share this in the hopes for any information on the whereabouts of Shawn Glover. If you have any information on the disappearance you are urged to contact the Powell County Sheriffs Office at 606-663-4116 through the Powell County Dispatch Center.

Shawn has severe diabetes and depends on insulin shots to stay alive. He is known to have diabetic seizures. The last known contact with Shawn was on 9/27 where he said he was at THE CLAY CITY INN. On 10/2 his insulin bag was found behind the Clay City Inn with only the meter and test strips in it. There has been no contact from him to any family since then.
A missing persons report has been filed in POWELL COUNTY.

A few days later..."His insulin bag was found in the back of the motel,"
Detectives ...Shawn may have suffered a seizure ...so they panicked.
Weeks later, someone set fire to the home where Shawn was living.
"They said he was killed here and moved his body to that house,"
Officials ruled it was arson, but never recovered Shawn's remains at the site
 
The video at this link is a must watch, imo. The surveillance vid shows Shawn crawling through the yard then hiding. Who was he hiding from and why?

Terrified is not the word. It is awful to see someone afraid for their life.

Without his insulin it's bad enough. Plus his insulin bag was found with meter, and straps. Where is his insulin and needles?

May this family find answers they need.

In the Interview with Mom post above there's a note that says there "may have been an altercation" and "he was with the young woman he was dating".

After reading this 2018 Clay City article IF this is the same Shawn Glover (article about a relationship a "Shawn Glover" was in where he threatened to shoot his girlfriend in front of her kids with a sawed off shotgun) I have to wonder if something similar happened, but there was someone there who intervened this time:

  • Medical Conditions Glover is an insulin-dependent diabetic. His insulin kit left behind. He has a history of diabetic seizures.

  • Distinguishing Characteristics Biracial (African-American/Caucasian) male. Black hair, brown/hazel eyes. Glover has tattoos on both arms, both hands and on his chest, shoulder and neck. Photos of some of the tattoos are posted with this case summary.

Details of Disappearance​

Glover was last seen at the Clay City Inn in Powell County, Kentucky on September 27, 2019. He was with a woman he was dating, There was an altercation, and Glover disappeared, leaving his insulin kit behind. There was no insulin left in the kit, only the meter and test strips. He has never been heard from again.

After his disappearance, Glover's home was destroyed by fire, the cause of which was determined to be arson. Authorities searched for his remains at the site, but couldn't find them. One theory is that he had a medical incident with his diabetes, such as a seizure, and the people he was with panicked.

There is little evidence available in his case, but Glover's family believes he was murdered. His disappearance remains unsolved.
