I'm just going to say what i have to about reverse 911 and forgive me if you all say yeah we know that - but i wasn't sure.

The reverse 911 call goes out FROM the cops. TO whomever they deem it to go to. The phone receiving the call will show a specific caller ID - something like maybe even "Reverse 911" or maybe "Sheriff's office".

Thank you gliving, for saying that if this reverse 911 went to the perps cell phone that it could later be triangulated by the cops. If this person said they were one place and the pings showed another - that would be red flag.

Gates used the phrase "ton of information" on June 5th, as far as what he said he got from the family, and a "ton of evidence" during recent press conference. Yet nothing to bring this case any closer to a conclusion, so I am wary of the use of the word "ton" as far as having any real meaning.

"By 5:30 p.m., a reverse 911 call was sent to all homes of children who attend Portland Public Schools. The message stated, “Kyron Horman did not arrive at home today."

From Terri's email, she indicates that the teacher thought she was taking Kyron to an appointment with BabyK, but no mention of going to an appointment later in the day. I don't think it makes any sense to believe that Terri said she was taking Kyron to look at exhibits and that Ms. Porter heard "taking Kyron with K for an appointment." Ridiculous.

I think by this press conference, LE had probably already contacted the dr to check on whether he/she had suspected Kyron was suffering from mini seizures and whether Kyron had an appointment with a specialist for the next Friday. They also already knew the times of the day before that Terri couldn't account for.

They already knew Terri said she waved goodbye to Kyron at 8:45 (time for the bell to ring) but was telling friends she left the school at 9:00. Where was she between 8:45 and 9:00?

JUNE 5, 2010 - 10:16 AM: Terri posted a status on her FB wall, which was open at the time for everyone to view, that people should not listen to the news because it was wrong, that the family would talk as soon as they could.

JUNE 5, 2010 - 10:21 PM: Terri posted that Baby K was getting a lot of hugs from people and that she was going to Kyron's room a lot to read his books on his bed.

I also noted Gates explained why an Amber Alert was not issued. He stated they did not have a description of a vehicle or person seen leaving with Kyron.

He stated this the morning after the reverse 911 call was made to all parents. If someone had seen Kyron leave the school, surely they would have contacted LE.

My notes on the press release:

- School staff report not seeing him after 8:45 AM and that he did not make it to his classroom.

- Upgrade the search to a Major Crimes Team investigation. Allows for more resources to be deployed, ... the FBI.

- Searched through the night, 20 miles of road and 2 square miles.
* They started right out with that 2 square miles around the school. What was that focus based on? Did that come from the FBI based on statistics? Something like that?

IIRC, wasn't it thought at that time that Kyron had wandered off into the woods,become disorientated, and gotten lost ? Did LE think that he was somewhere in that 2 mile radius ?

Hmm...I'm sure this has already occurred to others, but I think I'm finally seeing a clear motive here. Throw Kyron's teacher under the bus, get her fired and take her job (which she should have anyway per the *contradictions* article) since she is now fully licensed and has a lot of experience with the school and with Kyron's class in particular.

I'm looking at the windows in the classroom. The blinds are closed. There are even 2 posters hanging in front of the window blinds in 2 different windows, which indicate to me that those blinds stayed closed.

ETA a few other observations: It looks like the desks are situated away from the windows, but that might have changed when the projects were presented. Remember that the dioramas were taped to the desks. Therefore, they would obscure view outside and inside the classroom.

The teacher thought I said I was going to take Kyron with K**** for a doctor’s appt. I said I was going to look at other exhibits – how do you mess that up? His coat and backpack were still at school. I left the school at 9 and he was seen with a man “chaperone” and 2 girls after I left. There were no men on the chaperone list. That and it was highly chaotic – had to have been 300 people running around – no coordination…”

I didn’t just drop him off, I spent time with him, took pictures and he was in safe hands I thought as I watched him walk down the hall. Kids saw him after I left. Teacher put him as absent at 10am. Someplace between 9-10 is when we think it happened. I have a receipt showing I was checked out at Fred Meyer 7 miles away at 9:12am. I went to another FM looking for meds for K**** they didn’t have at the first FM. Then I was trying to get K**** to...

Gina Zimmerman is the President of the PTA. Must have missed the importance Skyline placed on the day. Certainly didn't realize it was a major social and academic event with advertising. I wonder how many people actually attended? moo

ETA: Thanks BeanE - over 300 people were at this major social and academic event. Wonder why an abduction by someone other than Terri was so quickly ruled out?

No, they are not. The red thing is on the desk further back, not Kyrons, as the diorama is further back from Kyron's desk,not directly in front of it or beside it. In any event, I can't see it back there in the other picture. It kind of reminds me of those colored cans for soda or energy drinks, or some kind of colored can with a spray nozzle.

This video from BeanE's link has a recording of the reverse 911 call. The LE spokesperson says Kyron was wearing a tee shirt, cargo pants and sneakers for overnight weather of 50 degrees. No mention of his jacket.

Wow, I'm sorry,Cappy50, ..What I believed to be a tiny pic of the water bottle in the corner ( the first photo) is actually the leg of the teddy bear on the picture on the wall behind the desk. ( I magnified it ). So, you are correct, the water bottle does not look to be there. I wonder whas there an interval of time between the two pics being taken ? I did see that there is another water bottle on a desk.It looks to be red and white. Iteresting post,IMO

Or,could it just be that the angles of the photos are different ? Perhaps the water bottle is just hidden by the angle that the photo was taken from ?
