I hit new post and I see so many MS threads I don't know which I am posting in anymore.

Regarding the request for bond reduction - just standard legal maneuvering IMO.

I haven't read these threads in a few days and way to many to catch up. Can someone quickly tell me the most important thing that is going on now?

It does seem that nearly every day there's something new to report in this case.

I just hope the next big news flash will be that they find Mickey.

Thank you both very much for that update. I have some serious stuff in my own life I'm battling and wish I can post here to get some help but afraid to. Anyway....I try to come here to read up on MS when I need a major distraction but when I'm absent a day or so I can get way behind. Thank you so very much for understanding my question.

Just wanted you all to know I'm not lazy to read up, just got stuff happening.

I don't know what your situation is, but maybe consider asking for some help. I lived a horrific life, for years, afraid to say a word. I lived an unbelievable story, really.....and I wish I had spoke up sooner. I lost years of my 'normal' life, and almost my very life.
If your situation is very serious, ask for help.

Londonrraine, we all are hoping & praying for this news flash...
Been following Missing/Murdered Persons cases for years in various states.

I have to give the local & national MSM a thumbs up for asking the hard questions & keeping Mickey Schunick's case in the headlines.

Transparency and Info breeds more info, jogging memories, and insuring Justice & truth, in missing/murder person investigations, imo..

I was thinking he did not have bond on the murder charge...is that incorrect?

My question is primarily directed at locals and others in the know. Tomorrow, Wed., the GJ is reported to be hearing this case; around 3 pm I think.

While I understand the GJ session is private, I suspect there will be media on location to cover or possibly try to get attny comments.

If you will be so kind, please list the 2 or 3 primary media you think will be covering this event and give a link to their web site. Esp. media that may show live reports, video or streams. Thank you ever so much for this information. I would like to lock these sites on favorites ahead of time.

My guess would be katc.com and klfy.com

So maybe they are trying to get the bond lowered on the other charges in case the GJ does not indict for murder?

Marx said the Public Defender Office and assigned counsel will not comment on evidence, facts or pleadings filed in these types of cases “in the interest of justice.”

Bill Goode, a criminal defense attorney not associated with the case, said a request for a preliminary examination is essentially a way for the defense to put a “full court press on the DA’s office to put up or shut up.

“If you have a case, indict, otherwise we’re going to have a preliminary hearing to find out what evidence you have,” Goode said.

An indictment could also help the District Attorney’s Office should Lavergne come up before a judge seeking a bond reduction, Goode said.

“Without the indictment it puts the defense in a better position to argue that the bond should be reduced because there is no indictment,” Goode said.

Hi! I was doing a little brainstorming about the MS case today. Thinking that BSL probably would have avoided any heavy highway action due to wounds bleeding or whatever damage was done to truck. I thought about the fact that he might have taken HWY 90 to get from home to the Ochsner hospital. There was some speculation as to the number 24 being an important clue ( due to the fact that he said the Saints Jersey was a #24) , upon cross referencing this route, HWY 90 intersects with LA 24 in Houma/Gray area. Where it intersects is a big overpass but under the over pass is a bayou (Bayou Terrebonne i believe). There are two wood group locations in Houma, and BSL may have been familiar with this area. I know its a long shot... but I think anything could be a possibility at this point.
