NEW ORLEANS (AP) - One prosecutor in New Orleans says it
shows how "desperate" and "evil" some people are.
Officials say a murder suspect was part of an alleged
jailhouse murder plot against an eleven-year-old boy who
    witnessed his uncle's killing.
It's the latest in a series of crimes stemming from the
2003 shooting death of a teenager who was killed as he sat in a
car with the boy and the boy's mother.
The mother was shot to death two months later -- the same
day she testified before a grand jury in the the killing. The
    mother's boyfriend was also killed.
The youngster remains in the district attorney office's
protection program. The killing of his mother remains unsolved.

Kids this age often have the feeling that the whole world is against them. Can you imagine what this kid is thinking and feeling? His uncle is killed in front of him, his mother is killed, his stepfather is killed, and he has to be hidden to keep someone from killing him! Life is giving this kid no chance!

I know! Nothing short of the Grace of God is going to keep this kid from bmeing totally screwed up as he gets older. Sad thing is, is that some of the crimes are unsolved, like his Mom's!

This is one of those cases where it didn't get as much media attention as it deserved. How much you wanna bet the family is a minority, lower income class, maybe not especially attractive, etc. and so therefore was of little interest to the media, unlike the white, middle-upper class, attractive victims are. *grrr*

Be great if a Sleuther solved it, though!
