Can you direct me to those facts, please? I would love to see a comparison of violent crimes against dancers vs. violent crimes against women who are not dancers. I've been looking for statistics for the last half hour or so but can't seem to find anything viable.

Monsters are always watching. It seems to me that women and children, especially female children, are taking their chances every time they leave the house, and sometimes even when they don't. I do realize that certain lifestyles are more "dangerous" than others. I don't, however, think of a brutal murder as a sex crime, and I don't see how being a dancer (in and of itself) could correlate to a higher chance of being the victim of a brutal murder.

In al respect and IMHO I belive that:

This WS site is ment to try help solve cirmes through research and
discussing theories, suspects and POI's( named by LE/media).

It is IMHO NOT ment to judge the
    victims in any way whatsoever.

Wheter a victims lifestyle possible put them in risk
or not have absolutely NO bearing in regards
to thework of trying to help solve the case.

    peace and thanks...

    Interesting information:

    http://www.wdsu.com/news/local-news...th/-/12537462/14774364/-/6xxa9sz/-/index.html

Authorities from Hancock County, Miss., are working with the New Orleans Police Department to view surveillance video from the day she disappeared. Lockhart was a dancer at a strip club on Bourbon Street, police said. According to investigators, two people -- a man and a woman -- were with Lockhart when she left work before she vanished.

TRIPLE thumbs up. :rocker: -- I too find it incredibly upsetting judging victims of violent crime.

I wonder if this is another case of a woman helping a man commit a horrific crime.

I am with you as well on the fact she is a victim and to judge her in any way is wrong. No one here would make some of the very same comments about an LE officer who was killed and that job is much higher risk. Are they l avoiding walmart too?

It is really sad when on WS a victim is disrespected as some of these comments do. Certainly she was vulnerable as are most women alone at night. The percentage of missing women who end up murdered or never found on this board alone is mostly regular moms who hold "traditional" jobs. So seems to me that her choice didn't make her more likely to be murdered than anyone else.

The woman is DEAD. Not only dead, but dismembered and thrown at sea. Comments that imply her lifestyle was a way of "asking for it" are the lowest of the low.

We have taught women for decades that NO MEANS NO. Please don't tell me this only applies to those of us with phds, because then most of my sisters in uterus-ownership are fv ked.

BBM: Yes, IMO. Laura Ackerson (dismembered) and Melissa Jenkins (not dismembered) - both water dump sites, however.

Well it wouldn't be the first time a man and woman have teamed up to commit heinous acts of violence. This world is such a hole.

It was reported a couple of days ago around the same time the other body parts began to come onshore.

I have not read a single post that states anyone's opinion that she deserved such a horrendous death. SHE DID NOT. But a lifestyle of taunting men - and that is what strippers do, any way you cut it - makes ladies who choose to do so the targets of multiple emotions and feelings from those who are watching and paying to watch. THIS cannot be argued. It is very different than a girl wearing a bikini - or going topless - on a beach. She is not there to be on stage and entertaining. Once she goes on stage, whether clothed or not, she sets herself up for the audiences EMOTIONS. To compare wearing a bikini, or short shorts, or a see thru top in public during the course of your day to stripping on a stage, in a club, for money, is inane.
Let me close by restating I DO NOT THINK JAREN DESERVED TO BE KILLED.

I see what you mean and I agree to certain point. If the past years of following DV murders has taught me anything is that no one has claims to safety/risk. I bet you, and you will agree, that Laci Peterson, Lori Hacking, Michelle Parker (who I presume to be dead) had no reason to suspect the worst kind of offender would see them take their last breath: their husbands, their fiances.

Psychopaths are psychopaths. Whether I am an adult entertainer or a tenured Material Science professor, if I am in their way (i.e. Peterson) or if I become the 'object' of their obsession (Bundy), I am effed.

<modsnip> Those with sensitive hearts, thin skin, easily offended or otherwise hostile, please feel free to skip this post. I am not here to argue, this has gotten SO UGLY. I put all adult entertainers in 1 large group be they strippers, prostitutes, escorts, porn industry, etc. IF you WANT me to, I will list all names of killers (serial killers and otherwise) who made a career out of targeting women in this group. I spent a very long time studying them. There are enormous statistics. I will admit that MANY of these women are never reported missing nor ever found, so the information on their killers is unavailable. Old Steve, if you want me to gather these stats and names I will do that. It is exhausting, and the information can be obtained by anyone willing to take the time to look into it, but I will post it here, if you ask me to.

Are there stats for housewives killed? College students? Children? Blondes? I'm sure there are. Knock yourself out looking, and then we can compare notes.

If you and your cohort want to discuss the morality of various lifestyles, then by all means start another thread on another part of this forum. This thread however is for discussing and attempting to identify and find the perp(s).
