This is frustrating. No details, no DNA, no dentals....so if a body was found, how would she be identified?

This case has very sketchy information, as you can see on each of three different links. I think that it only shows how the same information is picked up and repeated on different websites.

I posted what I saw and have not yet been able to obtain more information. I am sure that there is at least some more information to be had, if only identifying data and some biographical information.

Because of the age of this case, one would probably have to go to microfilm files of old newspapers, as it is too old for the internet in its origional format.

At least Sallie's case and photos are available for someone with more information to find. Quite often, a very sketchy, unsolved case like this will have a family member or friend of the victim provide more info.

I guess it's possible. She may have left because she was pregnant and scared of the baby's father. Maybe he found her and killed her before she was able to deliver her baby. The timing would be about right under that scenario.

It has now been 35 years since Sally Margaret Reed disappeared.

The stats are close, she is thought to have been 15-19 years old, between 5'0"-5'5" tall, and had shoulder length brown hair. Opelousas, LA where Sallie's car was found after her disappearance is in St. Landry Parish, which is approximately 60 miles from Rapides Parish.
