I have read alot of the evidence, but have not stumbled upon this yet:

"One document says that a cell phone picture of a stolen safe was taken before the crimes and sent by Gonzalez, Jr. to the other defendants."

So, where did LPG get the cell phone photo? Someone probably sent it to him by cell phone. That should be simple to trace. Whoever did it was the insider.

I have always had a nagging feeling that someone inside the family might have been involved. It could have even been one of the victims....

The defense lawyer for Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr. will have a tough time convincing anyone that the accused killer is telling the truth when he goes on trial for the slayings of Melanie and Byrd Billings.

Witnesses galore told investigators that they believed little or nothing that the martial arts expert told them about his tales of running guns and drugs and "whacking" people.

Here’s more proof that the people accused of killing Byrd and Melanie Billings weren’t even good gangsters: The getaway vehicle was a gift from Mama.

One getaway vehicle was a 1982 Dodge van which was bought by the mother of the alleged mastermind because his car was about to be repossessed, according to documents released Monday. Little did she know what it would ultimately be used for.

While it's possibly true that people didn't believe him, often people will say they didn't believe someone after-the-fact because they feel guilty they didn't do anything to stop them.

It happens all the time after a mass shootings. The neighbors are always "he was a nice man, kept to himself, I never have imagined him doing this" because they fear they would look irresponsible for not doing something if they said, "I always knew there was something wrong with him, that he'd just snap one day and kill someone...."

On this link, it looks as if Regina McCartney was trying to have mother declared incompetent outside proper procedures and have Leonard, Sr. evicted from property that his father had given him (his father deceased), at least that's the way I'm reading.

I also noticed and found on Esc. Clerk's site that mother's will is in probate. The aunt was one of the first to interview on national media re: LPG, Sr. and Jr. and now she is pointing a finger at another brother? My sisters don't act that way. Makes one wonder if Regina has a hidden agenda, i.e. greed maybe??
 
After robbing the credit union, the robber fled into the woods and was seen driving off in a large red SUV. Carol Brant says LPG, jr owns a burgundy Ford Expedition. File #5. The bank robbery was last November.
 
Interesting. The woman that hired LPG, jr to get "dirt" on her husband was identified as "Rita" during the questioning with junior's wife. I had seen comments on various sites that had some wild theories about who the "mystery client" may have been. File 2 page 31

Oh Yeah!!!!! A while back I posted her comment on their departed mother's legacy guest book. . . it was bizarre - she thinks she entitled to everything because she took care of her mom at the end of her life.

I can't find it now - but I'm sure it's on here somewhere!

That one has been pretty much verified. . . She's got an interesting case file in Santa Rosa records. . .

Yes! - I saw that...don't know where tho. What kind of person is going to brag about taking care of their own mother in her last years???

Frank Gonzalez, brother, also interviewed along w/Regina in media and in released documents made accusations against LPG, SR.

Link w/Esc. Clerk states Esc. Co. pressed charges against Frank, not LPG, Sr. as Frank stated to deputy in interview documents. A "Nolle Prosequi" was filed when LPG, Sr. was arrested, but it looks like it's ongoing.
Looks to me that McCartney and F. Gonzalez have their own agendas going on.

Some family love going on there.....NOT!!

More Evidence Released from Billings' Murder Case

Earlier in our 4 o'clock show, I asked Sheriff David Morgan about a disturbing statement by Gonzalez Junior in a document released yesterday apparently admitting to having been a hitman in the past. To quote "whack" folks. For a group of local car dealers.

Today, I asked Sheriff David Morgan about that statement.

Dan Thomas/Reporter: "Is he the subject of any other death investigations that you know of?"

Sheriff David Morgan/Escambia County: "We have received some inquiries from some other law enforcement agencies in the United States and outside the United States as it applies to this gentleman and we're providing that information to other law enforcement agencies."




Seems like another sleuther had mentioned earlier there was evidence Jr. was involved in some other murders. Wonder if this has to do with Al Garza?

How could I have MISSED this interesting person completely? I "knew" her through my children, as they attended the same school years ago. When I saw "MD" I knew:) In a way, she looks like Pam Long, well both in their younger days. Tall, Blonde, Dominating! LPGJr didn't have a shortage of women around him... I also think he had a pretty good supply of Loratab for sale, as been mentioned by many of the people interviewed! Wonder why he could never pay the rent. I can't believe all the eviction filings on Escambia Clerk of the Court! He had the system figured out there.

This reference is not from anyone currently arrested, but by the dude that was repeatedly recruited by Jr. It is unclear by this statement where it originated from or if it was an actual picture of the Billings safe or just another safe, pictured opened, with lots of money coming out.

Starting on page 14 is a statement from LSmith, on page pg 41/doc#751, he mentions a picture of a safe full of money on his cell phone sent from Jr.;
