It happened recently in Renton Wa a cop got busted assaulting an informant, and they tried really hard to cover it up, and excuse it. It's sad because I am a big fan of those in uniform.

Renton Police officer arrested after allegedly assaulting woman at park

Me too. I worked with the PD plenty of times and 99% of the time it was legit but theres always a bad apple in the group and that one apple can load all civilians with skepticism. But either way the LISK case is a clusterfu**. The PD is holding their cards so close and not allowing any info out that can possibly solve the case. There is a thought that LISK was in Daytona beach too and the PD down there is all about giving the public info. I seen a interview with the police chief down there and he even stated that the public needs to know because he admitted that 80% of the cases solved down there is due to a sluth or a person who isnt afraid to pick up the phone. Its just odd that the PD in LI and the PD in NJ where another 4 vics were found are so tight lipped. The PDs IN LI and NJ are close so they can both be covering something but the PD in Daytona are so far away they cant be involved. If that makes any sense. Im rambling sorry lol. But thats my view. The 2 PD are close so they can cover for eachother.

Yup Scary!! Like i said i have a couple cops that i talk to during calls but they are actual good cops. But in this country theres not too much of a screening process to become a cop so god only knows whos holding a badge anymore.

I agree. It smells too much to not be true. After all, that Escort that came out saying the police chief was also involved, even handing her money on an occasion at a party. She also claimed that several officers were there.

Came here to see discussions and see this is the most recent.
    Lisk is a fisherman.
Would make sense for all circumstances.
When you buy a sack of clams, it comes in a burlap sac.
Can get crabs in a sac like that too!
Could have heard that girl screaming if he/she was on the beach with their vehicle.
I think PD should get records of who had passed to drive on the beach that year and then rule out suspects, also rule out the fishermen crew and captains of fishing boats by Captree down the road.
Never heard anyone mention fishermen who know that area, those waters, those marshes better than those who had houses there.
Editing post to add, fisherman could have obviously been a cop too as a career. Could have traveled. Just crazy to me this was never mentioned

I worked at Jones Beach and Gilgo beach for 3 years a long time ago when I was starting college. The state beaches had their own police force back then though in reading articles, it seems the county police do now . At night time I and my boyfriend were both consession managers so be could be at frequent beach keg parties or just the 2 of us hanging out at night but all the beaches was otherwise isolated and a person scoping the area would be noted - the exception would be if there was a concert or festival at night. But the beach police were very thorough at patrolling. They were thorough about checking cars and one couldn't park anywhere on the beach area if not known and approved. The seargant I saw year after year , Joe, knew everyone--he was older --I hope the investigators talked to Joe wherever he is now.

I grew up in Bellmore where the first dismembered body that police believe is related was found by the S.S. parkway underpass----lots of restaurants and homes a few miles east in Massapequa. Lots of people from these towns commute to the city on LIRR ( it's not fun) . Some think it's possible he went into the city to make calls and throw people off but this is quite expensive, crowded and time consuming especially buying tickets by the day to the city at peak times. I believe its someone who lives in the southshore in one of the contiguous towns Bellmore, Seaford , Wantagh Massapequa though Oak Beach cant be ruled out . This would give the unsub good access to the city for work , to the beaches by more than 1 convenient route (this is important) and also close to the parkway areas where early vics were dumped. Its not too far west to Hempstead Lake Park where Peaches was partly dumped--my grandma would take me to HLP as a child to feed the ducks with stale bread . Its obvious the person knows this area well. I keep wondering if I would know who it is though Im not clear on the profile age range.
