"No she didn't finish with her. Some saying another day or two" - mck16

Brought this over from the other thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if Juan doesn't get to start his cross until this Thursday or maybe even the week of the 8th. Didn't someone post here last week that there is only court in the morning all 3 days this week? 9:30am-12:30pm AZ time....?

I think they are full days T, W, Th but starting one hour early 9:30 AZ time.

I cannot wait for martinez to cross ALV, I'm just not looking forward to petulant wilmotts longgggg excruciatinggggg. attempt to discredit anything martinez says.
She has to have the last word.

Isn't there any rule that limits how long these 'experts' can speak? From what I have watched of her, it sounds mostly anecdotal...

The most annoying part for me
To watch wilmott try to undo what martinez does in his cross of ALV

Even more annoying, to me, is when the Jury have asked 100 questions and then she asks them all again, only re-phrasing them so that the answers sound plausible and favorable to Jodi...

Scorpio24.. tried to reply about MM just as thread closed:

All I know about MM is that he was an old BF of JA.. who seems, oddly enough, to have remained on good terms with her. He was vocal on the yucky website JA is Innocent until a few weeks ago. The speculation is that he might have written the 10 letters she tried to asscribe to TA that were kept out.. and she sent him the coded message in the magazines trying to influence his interview with LE. Ring a bell??

I'm thinking there aren't a lot of questions so far for DV lady. Please tell me that's right. From jury.

Exactly! You explained better than I could, but that was my point, thank you.
I don't even think her and nurmi gauge the jury to see if they're still warm and breathing. They just come across as so inexperienced. Very annoying to listen to for long periods of drawn out witness rehabbing.

The official Maricopa County Superior Court Docket Calendar shows 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, 4/2, and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 4/3.

There is nothing scheduled yet for this case (CR2008-031021) on 4/4.

Horrifying thought that Wilmott could drag that out for a few more days.

Bringing anagrammy's post over from the previous thread:

I had THE SAME problem and came across a poster who said you need to 1) look at the lighted version of the photo (sorry don't have a link at hand - low tech here), and 2) match the drip you see on the object in the upper left corner with the previous photo of Jodi dragging Travis' body.

In addition, my theory is that the linear object below the round shoulder is the bath mat. I think she used that to move his upper body and the crime scene specialist's statement that there was blood on BOTH sides of the mat supports this theory.

Didn't the shower mat have a small geometric pattern/scoring? Squares? I don't see a bath mat, just tile and the bathroom linen closet door jutting out at the top of the photo. The blood expert said the blood could have gotten on the bottom either by
1) being dragged over blood OR
2) blood mixed with water seeping beneath the mat. OR
3) could have been old blood from another time.

She testified to how much water there had to be in the bathroom area in order to wick several inches up a cardboard box that was in the bathroom linen closet, so isn't that consistent with #2? (I'm also wondering if a floor mat wouldn't provide more resistance than assistance.) But I can't see any floor mat in that photo. Maybe it's just me. :cow:

I'd actually be happy if that's what Wilmott did. IMO she simply repeats the question and the witness repeats the answer. I think her point is to expand the answer -- the jurors are interested in something so she wants to get a fuller and more complete answer, especially if she can skew it in Jodi's favor. But 99 questions out of 100, she doesn't do that.

This to me is the one flaw in having jurors ask questions. Wilmott doesn't get a chance to think about what she's doing and she doesn't seem to be able to think very fast. So this is what she does. If I were a juror, I'd be kind of insulted, not to mention bored.

Yes, it has come across a bit like, "Boy, what a stupid question! Let me ask it to you so that you have an opportunity to demonstrate how truly stupid the question was." Nurmi did the same thing with Dr. Feelgood.

Things that make you go hmmmm- for those of you who have been to the Jodi Arias is innocent site- here's some interesting background information re the site owner and his connections...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfXVNTLJQmw&feature=youtu.be

Yes, I'd heard about that, ZsaZsa. Interesting isn't half the word for it, but it's certainly a safe a non-timeoutable word. Well, I'm sure timeoutable is not a word, but it certainly seems a reasonable word for the Sleuther lexicon.
