CA - Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37, speeds through intersection kills 6, including pregnant woman in fiery crash, Los Angeles, 4 Aug. '22

This article is behind a paywall (from the LA Times)-- sad- describes last 2 victims of Ms. Linton-- 2 young women, burned beyond recognition---

Ms. Linton must pay a very very steep price for the destruction of lives and families

I think she was holding a phone stabilizer and had her left elbow resting on the door, probably with the window half open... this would explain the minor injuries on her left arm and none on the right.
And a "look what you are making me do" type of phone call going on... MOO JMO
To me, the accident was deliberate. Again, MOO JMO

MOO JMO
IF it was a cellphone, the thought occurred, that maybe she was on the phone with her bf, and wanted him to hear/see, what he'd done to her. Punish him as well. Just a thought, based on statements, made about her stability.

Ok so built in is not the same as a pole antenna, which is what I was obviously talking about, since people are debating a visible antenna. Her car looks like a 2 door coupe imo. So not an a class. Probably an e class. Jmo
I'm not arguing that it IS an antenna, I said I saw one, and it could be an aftermarket. I also said it could be her giving a big FU to the world as she attempts to end her life. All theory. I obviously was not there.

FWIW Today’s Mercedes-Benz cars don’t have a visible antenna at all. Nothing should interfere with the design’s clear lines. Testing Facility for EMC and Antenna Systems: How Mercedes-Benz is ensuring interference-free reception and low electromagnetic exposure | Mercedes-Benz Group

So, just waiting to see what model/year MB that she drove.

Antenna: I hope it can be discussed respectfully and on topic to this case. :)

There's no visible antenna on her car from the after pics. Unless it flew off and left zero marks on her car where it was installed.

Her smock: They are not bulletproof as far as I've seen. Body Armour is generally used when high profile criminals are escorted outside and looks different.

All the people running to the scene of the crash after and not being able to do anything broke my heart. You can see their devastation and frustration.
With what's coming out about her it definitely sounds like a crazed emotional reaction to something and she just decided to try to end it all and didn't care who she took out with her. Jmo
I've known people who have threatened to jump off balconies when the guy they like wasn't interested in them.
Again imo.

I couldn't find any detachable antennae that look like this (wider at end than base, slightly bent at certain angles, installed way over by driver's window. But I'm not an expert)
Also doesn't look like a hand holding a phone to me... which is what I originally thought. But with her going that speed there was basically less than 1 second of footage to take these screenshots. Whatever is there was visible from the beginning of her entering the frame up to hitting the first car.
I know even going half that speed if I have my arm out the window it feels like it's gonna fly off.
I really can't tell what this could be. I just hope she wasn't facetiming someone.. the horror...
Imo

Could it be a cell phone signal booster? Some models look like they have this squarish/thick shape antenna, and they attach magnetically.

If she had her hand out to flip off the world or another driver, it would look like whats pictured. Its about as high as an arm could typically reach. Its blown back by the air resistance to the extent of the car's B pillar. Its pointing at an angle consistent with arm articulation.

The injury on her left arm could easily be explained by her arm being out the window when the side curtain airbag deployed or being hit by glass flying out of other cars as she plows through them.

Armani Lestor was among those killed. I can think of plausible scenarios where he survives this crash.

In the lower left, is what looked like an aftermarket antenna to me. It's very difficult to capture at that speed. I slowed the Ann Heche video down and she was not going as fast as this woman. Like you, I have stuck my hand out the window but after reaching a certain speed, it is not steady. At her speed, I just don't see her able to keep her arm steady. Idk what it is or what she is doing, or was thinking, but it's something and I too hope she wasn't facetiming. Still hoping for video from other locations or from someone who heard her coming, (a bystander said she heard a loud scraping sound as she was coming down the street). Maybe someone else heard and grabbed their phone.

You posted the Dailymail link - can you do the LA Times one? I would like to get the 2 ladies' names on my notes. If that was mentioned.

TIA! :)

Another really good article- behind a paywall -- I subscribe to the LA Times and since this horror occurred there, they have lots of info at this site.

The article describes that her coworkers are shocked at what happened: that she acted in a kind and professional manner in her job as a nurse. Her family refused to comment.
From a description from her co-workers and friends, they did not see signs of any mental illness.

I wondered the same about speed and having arm (or selfie stick) out the window... it would have to be firmly ridged (imo). There is definitely something visible in these photos but it certainly doesn't look like an antenna (imo).

(I remember doing the dip n roll with my arm out the window as a little kid - hopefully someone else did this as a child - otherwise I was a weird kid. lol)

Total theory: I've nurse friends. I didn't know about the multistate/compact license (or opting out). I knew one who traveled out of state, made good money, but had some serious issues that got them fired at several hospitals, in our state. The nursing shortage is so bad here, that they will take almost any warm body.

She was practicing in HI and CA, it appears, which are states that do not have the "Multistate" option that TX had. She got driver's license in both of those states. Just thinking.
In the hearing I listened to, it was said she is licensed to drive in Texas, not California. FYI-

This is all so heartbreaking, all these children lost a mother for no dang good reason, not illness, not an accident, not a natural disaster, no- imo- a selfish thirsty flying vain witch, swooped through with her flying stick and took what she wanted- the lives of others.
Sorry, imo, speculation.fwiw.

''Noble and Lewis were in a vehicle that burst into flames, family members said. Their bodies were so badly burned that investigators are having a difficult time identifying them, according to friends and family, who said personal items found at the scene belonged to the women, including Noble's identification.''

''Nathesia Lewis' sister, Krystal Lewis, 36, said her sister was a mother to seven children and grew up in South L.A.''

''Lewis' boyfriend, graffiti artist Clarence "Moezart" Hamlin, and artist Laurence "Stroe One" Hendrickson painted a mural honoring her on the side of her sister's hair salon. The men painted her portrait by cellphone lights in the dark, and on Tuesday, friends lit candles and reminisced about her and Noble.''

If her TX drivers license was valid, regardless of what state it came from she can drive in any state in the US with it. I have not ever heard of a license only being restricted to one state. Not even sure how one would enforce such a law. I mean maybe if she had some sort of substance abuse/medication her insurance could only make her covered in TX to drive but not in another state. I'm not an insurance expert but I do know they have some standards that have to be met to cover persons with certain infractions/violations.

Of course: when we go to Florida for the winter, I am sure if I get stopped by the police with my Michigan license that would be appropriate and legal.

Absolutely, I live on the Southeast coast we have many Snowbirds year round from all over the US come our way and as long as they have a valid license in their home of record they are legal to drive.
