Seems like it. Called the Fairmont Hotel. And a hospital? (I think they meant hostel as one person tweeted) It's the plane ticked booked to Vancouver in JL's name I want to know about.

@SGirouxCTV Hostel, not hospital! We all misheard, I believe.

Me too... what is Leclair trying to imply with this? :s

What date was this supposed sexual assault in Paris in 2010?

I know that he was travelling Europe in late 2009.

A travel companion
Magnotta meets a 70-year-old man in Toronto who ends up becoming his travel companion. Together, they visit Russia, Italy and France. Henry, a fake name used to protect his identity, told the fifth estate they met at the Pickle Barrel restaurant located near Toronto's Yonge and Eglinton intersection. "He walked as if he was on a stage or as if he was on a ramp for modeling clothes," said Henry."

ETA apparently he was travelling Europe again in autumn 2010, and he posted a blog on 26th October 2010 saying he was in Paris with his husband.

Paris is such a beautiful city and its alot of fun, Paris is like the New York of Europe. Just be careful because my husbands wallet was stolen and its pretty common there from what im told. Also try to visit the Eifel tower at nite, its so much more beautiful. I have found love there and I wish everyone else the same, life has been so good to me!

God Bless.

Not had much luck has he,poor Luka

Might be something to do with the adverts he kept posting everywhere asking people to rape and abuse him! If he ever actually went through with any of those, that is.

The guy who hired LM as an escort in March and May 2012 (Thomas somebody, the guy in his mid 60s) said LM was talking about moving to New York because he couldn't speak French.

I think they want the jury to believe that LM was planning to go to Paris to live around the first of June. That his trip to Paris after the murder was not an attempt to flee, but rather just part of the plan he had been cultivating for a month. And the "episode" involving JL was just a psychotic blip in his otherwise already planned move. It's not coming across that way. Looks to me like LM was cultivating his escape and integration into Europe under various aliases for quite some time.

One thing I have been curious about, in order to move to Paris, I would assume you would need to apply for the correct visas. Was LM planning on moving there illegally?

Judge tells jury it would be more efficient for the remainder of the trial to postpone until Monday. #Magnotta

I liked the first and third questions the jury asked. To me, these questions indicate that they are questioning the defence and witness testimony. They aren't believing the story that Magnotta used temazepam, benedryl, and alcohol (together) recreationally. He used them to SEDATE his VICTIM. And based on the 3rd question, they are possibly suspecting that Magnotta is using evidence that he is aware of to lie and malinger.
The second question, in my opinion, appears that they are seriously considering psychosis. To what extent I don't know (I am not them, after all).

Over all, they were good questions. The answers on the other hand...

MOO (I am just speculating about the nature of the questions. Of course, I could be way off. That is just what it looks like to me)

I remember Allard said it was difficult getting the story out of LM because at first she wasn't sure what he actually remembered vs what he'd read in the media or heard from his lawyers. My worry is that the jury will think back to LM's dad and his terrible memory and think that it's just a sign of schizophrenia.

The temazepam, benadryl and alcohol question - I was a bit worried when I read that that they thought that the combination might have triggered acute psychosis/ aggression in LM. But Watts put them straight.

And I would feel more confident if they'd asked whether a drug test was done on LM in Mt Sinai, instead of whether not taking his antipsychotics could have caused the "episode".

There are tests that psychiatrists use to weed out psychosis malingerers; I wonder if Allard or Watts did any tests on Kluka?

For example:
Structured Interview of Reported Symptoms (SIRS)
Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, Revised (MMPI-2)
Miller Forensic Assessment of Symptoms Test (M-FAST).

I was a little concerned about the first question about the effects of those medications. It's like they were asking if those drugs could have helped to bring on a psychosis. Like they actually believe he was in one.

I wondered if that was why the crown wanted it clarified that he only claimed to take the Benadryl with the Columbian?

Hmm. I didn't think of that (and haven't read any "recap" articles. Or done much sitting and thinking at all). That is a worry. Hopefully they were just trying to rule that out or otherwise clarify the significance of his (alleged, if he can be believed) drug use that night.

I was wondering if they wanted to know if it was those meds that made him appear so relaxed and nonchalant as he went back and forth to the garbage etc. I guess I am hoping that they had a hard time believing that he was psychotic because he was so calm.

Remember how LM was complaining to his psychiatrist in prison that he was having nightmares about the movie Friday the 13th? I just looked it up on Wikipedia and Friday the 13th Part 2 begins like this :

Alice L. Hardy is trying to put her life together again. While feeding her cat, she discovers the severed head of Pamela Voorhees in her refrigerator before an unknown killer (whose face isn't shown) inserts an ice pick in her skull and kills her

I just had a thought - with the calls from JL's phone, is leclair trying to show that JL was still alive later than the Crown said? The Crown were implying yesterday that LM's version of events was made up because if it were true JL would still have been alive when LM first left his apartment and returned with a carrier bag, and took the dog out.

2010 was a busy year for LM. He was possibly still travelling with the 70yr old Toronto man at the beginning of the year, he was trying out for a documentary in Toronto at some point, he was in Paris where he was raped and had his money stolen and then he came back to Toronto and made the first cat video.
