I wasn't around 40 years ago, so I'm not sure, but from the company info pages is looks like it has always been delivery without a physical location. I think you can order from a catalog, and they have options like frozen chicken nuggets, frozen marinated beef, frozen pasta dishes, frozen desserts, etc...Digging into the company, it looks like it started in the 50's in Minnesota. I don't know when they expanded to New England.

Wait, how do you order only half of the cow??!!

It actually makes me think about the swan boats in Boston. Has that already been explored?

Of course, she could have just liked the shirt and we're jumping down rabbit holes.

Lol. You ordered something like 3 rib roasts, 10 pounds of hamburger, 2 eye of round roasts, 20 pounds of stewing beef, etc.

This has yet to be reported in the media, but the state police exhumed Granby Jane Doe's body for DNA testing.

Thanks @Ravenspur is it for DNA comparison to a specific MP's family member, or for genealogical research?

I always wondered if she was from the Belchertown School. Patients used to wander off the grounds all the time. It would have been the route you would take if you followed Rte 202. It would explain the poor dental health and no one reporting a missing girl.

Does anyone know who this post refers to, the Doe network link is broken. Who are Grace and Gracie? It's the first page of this thread where the link is quoted by this poster.

Grace and Gracie Reapp. The old Charley Project links have changed but the name in the old URL will help you find the case in the website.

The 42nd anniversary of Granby Jane Doe's discovery passed recently.

I searched women missing in NY, MA, and VT before 1979 and came across a few that surprisingly aren't yet ruleouts.

    Rory Gene Kesinger
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
She seems to be quite a character!
The Girl Who Vanished: Rory Gene Kesinger
Ending up dumped off a road in the Holyoke Range doesn't seem too implausible, I'm afraid.

    Sheryl Ann Tillinghast
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Missing from Wassaic, NY on the CT border.
She wasn't reported missing until 1998!
Another young woman with long brown hair.
DNA is available so should be an easy ruleout?

I wonder if they can check her DNA for any relation to the unknown child from Bear Brook case. The timeline is about right

Just check her DNA to the GEDMATCH database and use forensic genealogy to identify her.
