I think this makes me smile? A new TV series, 'My Mad Fat Diary' is airing in the UK. It's all about a (very spirited) woman's struggles with weight, self harm and life in general growing up in the 80s. The young actress playing the author received loads of hate mail via social media when the trailer aired.
When the show itself aired, everyone loved it. And the young actress actually got a mail saying "Sorry I said I wanted to kill you".
It made me smile because I thought, what's a person supposed to reply to that? "Hey, that's okay then?"
I'm wondering if there will be a movie, like Bridget Jones.

ETA: The author, Rae Earl, now lives in Tasmania. I bet she's doing just fine there.
