Just going over things in my mind , did FF actually say " the English will fall off their chair"
If so ,why just the English ?

That's pretty clear to me. Looks like FF hasn't been aware of the theory, that the MC's had been kept as "arguidos". FF was 21 or 22 years of age in 2007.

So maybe he thought GA's claims will be a bombshell. But it looks like as if he recognized that very quickly and so he doesn't comment that anymore. In a german interview he stated, that after looking into (available!) portugese files, some clues point out to an accident in apartment 5A.

IMO he just wasn't aware about some things, that have been discussed long before he took over the defence. That's all!

Everything else should be taken by the term "conspiracy theory" IMO.

Never underestimate a criminal's luck or a Police force's incompetence. But sure, I don't disagree that this could indeed have been a well planned out operation involving multiple people.

I don't think CB does have an alibi though, else FF would surely have said so by now. The info that would supposedly make people "fall off their chair" appears to have come from someone in Portugal when FF went there to investigate, according to the news reports. Possibly from Amaral, and that rather than it being something related to CB specifically, it is probably "evidence" that points to a different culprit(s). Again, my guess is it revolves around GA's theory, it could even be something we already know about like the dog alerts, but that some might not be that familiar with. I expect he won't reveal what it is until he's seen the prosecutor's evidence since that evidence may blow this particular 'theory' apart anyway.

I could imagine, that this may be a reason why the prosecutors are 100 % convinced, but everything takes so long and there is still no charge after almost 4 years of investigation. We talked about a possible evidence ban in here before and i assume, the australian prosecutors took over the platform in "operation elysium" by using real footage, what may be "difficult" in german trials. Australia isn't the european union according to the laws.

"It is clear, even if the BKA will not admit, that you can only get into protected Darknet forums through trust-building measures. That is, by acting undercover and pretending to be a child molester yourself. Of course, in order to prove this to others, you have to provide relevant material before being accepted.

A political decision was made in June 2018: The justice ministers of the federal states agreed that the criminal police may in future actually use child pornographic material in order to infiltrate relevant Internet forums. According to a ministerial resolution, however, the images may not be real, they have to be computer-generated."

FF at the time he made these claims was frequenting conspiracy theories FB groups. So i tend to agree this is what he was pointing to . Has he made any such comment since?

Just found this old clip from 2007 with MB from Sky News..
The details former SY detective talks about remind you of anyone ?
Like at 1.15 about suspect getting out the way for a while ..and later in clip about “ already being in the system “
Perhaps a person such as the subject of this thread..?

So do you think former SY detective already had CB in mind in 2007? Has he said anything since BKA claims? I am intrigued and a bit annoyed if CB was already in the cadre in 2007...

Have no idea if he knew anything about CB specifically at time of interview...my guess probably not...am not aware that particular detective has ever been on any actual MM related investigation team .
Think he was just giving an interview as a specialist who could give a general description of type of person likely to have taken MM...if recent CB developments have substance then perhaps he made quite an accurate prediction..imo

I love the dodgy style they used to film this. Back lit via the window makes it very dark and seedy like a cop show

He doesn't say anything that you can't pick up from reading a book on profiling.

Remember PJ already pursued a distinct profile of the "Soham" type offender - i.e someone known in the community, outwardly respectable, lives close by etc etc

The problem is the same old one that potentially you have 100s of people who might be worth looking at, but no leads to narrow things down.

One time my city murder police were going house to house looking for leads on a murder. The conversation consisted of them asking me if I knew anything and me saying no. They can't make me answer lots of questions or search my house, even if I fitted a profile.

What I found interesting looking in to these cases in the US, is that often knowing a profile of who they are looking for doesn't take you very far - even if the actual perp is on your not so short list.

:D Apart from the film noir aspirations, it's kind of a big pile of nothing of any substance or significance.

It's bizarre, for want of a better (much darker) term, that people like this self-described 'super recogniser' and her retired SY (and seems to me entirely self-serving) promoter still have media outlets willing to give them time and space.

It really does make me wonder what the purpose of rubbish like this is, knowing the only current and ongoing investigation's starting premise is that MM died in 2007. Either we believe the former or we totally discount every last single thing that HCW and the BKA has and continues to claim as fundamental fact in their 'murder' case against CB. Which is it? Because both views just can't co-exist in any sensible or logical manner in this ongoing discussion.

Here's a question: who and what's behind this need to continue to put the idea out there that MM could still be alive and out there, waiting to be recognised?
