So 142nd FW F-15s scrambled to Seattle and have intercepted what is supposedly a Q400 that may have taken off without permission. Details could totally change but that’s what I have so far. The scramble was 100% legit over land to Seattle. Incident ongoing...

Can confirm the identification of this one if this video is authentic. This is a Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 commercial airliner. This is a 76 seat regional turboprop aircraft.

A mechanic at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has reportedly hijacked a plane, though reports are not yet confirmed by authorities.

Early reports indicated the suspect was speaking to air traffic controllers.

Plane stolen at Sea-Tac apparently crashes in Pierce County

The source says the military jet made contact with the stolen plane, which then began to nose dive and crashed in North Pierce County.

Fire crews and boats are responding to the scene.

That isn't that far from Ft. Lewis. If it was shot down, it was for a good reason.
